Blanket stitch details 👀

The blanket stitch braid gets its name from the looping pattern used in sewing and it’s my favorite technique for securing single or double ended extensions 🏆

Instead of relying on a traditional braid which extends down the length of the synthetic dread, this stitch wraps around only a few inches from the root and grips the extension at the base, creating a more secure attachment point ☑️

Why I prefer it:
✨ Less slippage
✨ Stronger hold
✨ Better weight distribution

You can easily rock this style for 6-8 weeks without having to worry about losing anybody in the shower or in a parking lot 🫣

Met Chelsea for the first time a few weeks back and installed a full head of synthetic dreads & braids 💕

Next time she comes we’ll be starting a permanent partial with woolies for extensions! 😍
