I just wanted to commend the staff at this Barnes and Noble. They hosted a free "Lego" building event today and while the guests were plentiful and excited, they remained calm, friendly and organized the whole time. I will definitely be returning for events in the future. Thank you for your energy and excitement! My son was a really happy boy.
I’m the President, by Donald Thump is a satirical look at the Presidency by George A.M. Heroux, the author of But for the Crash, several non-fiction books, and seven successful plays. It’s all about a President who is totally over the top. Of course, he has to deal with all of the same issues as the current President, but you won’t believe how he does it. It’s available at B&N.com, ISBN 978-1-950015-05-04, and, of course, at outstanding B&N stores.

Books. Café. Music. Movies. Toys. Games. The nation’s largest retail bookseller and a leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products.

DeCillis gave some great recommendations of D&D products in store as well! For beginners it is best to always have the Player’s Handbook on hand. Tales from the Yawning Portal was one of Tom’s favorite book for short adventures - hands down! Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything is the newest rules expansion and brings a magical mixture of options to the table. Make sure to get your hands on a copy!

This week is National Zoo Keeper Appreciation Week! We invited our friend Noel Heinsohn, Director of Fish & Aquaculture, from the Long Island Aquarium to our store to recommend some of his favorite reads!

Spineless by Juli Berwald is a personal memoir about Berwald’s travels around the world to uncover the role of jellyfish in our rapidly warming, overfished, and acidified seas.

The National Audubon Society‘s Field Guide to Fishes contains extensive information of both freshwater and saltwater species. With hundreds of detailed illustrations and maps, this field guide is always handy to have on-hand.

Don’t forget to support your local aquariums and zoos! And be sure to thank the aquarists and zoo-keepers that have worked especially hard to care for the animals and facilities through-out the COVID pandemic!
