Wanna go back? Back to school, our friends?

Us neither -- unless, of course, it's through a book that goes full Dark Academia.

The Fetishist by Katherine Min is a darkly humorous and provocative novel of love, revenge, and identity published after her death in 2019. Min’s daughter, Kayla Min Andrews, joins us to talk about her mother’s work, taking on the task of finishing and publishing this novel, creating and continuing a legacy and more with host, Miwa Messer.

We loved The Swifts by Beth Lincoln, illustrated by Claire Powell, so much that we named it our Children's & YA Book of the Year.

We also loved it SO MUCH that we made it our February Young Reader Monthly Pick.

WE LOVE THE SWIFTS SO MUCH! WE MADE IT INTO A B&N EXCLUSIVE with the coolest stenciled edges ever.

Did we oversell it? Don't think we sold it hard enough. Grab a copy for you or your young reader today.

Time to level up!

With Solo Leveling hitting the screen this very day (you can stream it on Crunchy Roll), we wanted to remind you that – hey, look at that! – we have an exclusive box set from Yen Press featuring the first five books of the series and a pretty sick poster. And by pretty sick, we mean it’s the kind of poster that infuses new powers into whatever room or space you put it in. You do want new powers, right?
The best news? When season one of the anime is over, you can keep reading to find out what happens next. That’s kind of how books work.

"What stories do we inherit and how much can we alter the narrative of our lives?" - Julie Gerstenblatt, Author of, "Daughters of Natucket"

Behold! The B&N 2024 Book Challenge!

Mark your calendars, prepare your gold stars and level up your library, the fun starts now. Or in two days, but if you want to get a head start we won't tell anyone.

The challenge this year is fairly simple. There are 52 prompts for 52 weeks -- 26 Books that have {X} and 26 Books that made you {Y}. Pick any book you want so long as it can tick one of those boxes. And if you need a suggestion, HMU and we'll give you a book to knock your socks off.

(If you're looking for a Twins book? The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett is a fantastic start to the challenge.)
