FYI…after a brief initial inspection of the harbor, it appears we have made it through this storm pretty good. Most importantly, I hope everyone is safe and sound!!
I would like to thank everyone for the rapid response to our evacuation! We will update you all ASAP on when you can begin your return back to your slip. We will know much more tomorrow (Tuesaday) once the water has receded and we can make a much better assessment. We do need a couple of days to let the power pedestals properly dry before we can restore power to the docks. We will send out an email and update our page here once we have a better timeframe identified. Please stand by.
A Mandatory Evacuation has been ordered. NOAA is expecting a 7 to 12 ft storm surge. Fuel pumps will be pulled today, pedestals pulled by this afternoon. Have your boat out of the Harbor by 7:00PM Saturday.
We are keeping an eye on the gulf at this moment for a developing storm that has the potential to strengthen into a tropical system. According to the National Hurricane Center, there is a 90% chance of this development. Early track shows it to move into the central gulf and central Louisiana. However, these are very early predictions and we all know how this goes. Please be attentive to your emails, weather outlets and our FaceBook page. PLEASE have a plan in place in case we have to issue a mandatory evacuation of harbor.
We have a box at the Harbor for donations
