I was very excited to receive a copy of the picture book I recently illustrated for a young author. I am so happy to have helped bring to life this lovely story written by Veronica Puig who is only 16 years old. She’s a very accomplished young lady who also founded, Veca’s Hope Children Foundation which is a non-profit dedicated to helping bring awareness and support to families with a child going through pediatric cancer. I am currently working on illustrations for her second book. This book, Treehouse Rescue will be available to purchase soon. I will put all the information on my website (see my profile links). I took the book with me to work today to show my students and got one of them to take this photo for me.

Hey friends - I know I haven’t posted much lately. I am still creating art and writing everyday. I am teaching art and science enrichment classes to elementary school students now though, so my priority on posting has changed. This is a recap of the last month of projects and things I’ve been up to. I’m also finishing up working with a client on publishing a picture book and I can’t wait until I can share it.

Hi friends, I’m participating in another Spoonflower design challenge, and the voting for the winners has begun. The theme for this one is, “Craft Maximalism”. I created a jewel toned pattern design using illustrations of Hawk-moths, Honeysuckles and stars for my composition. I hand painted them all and then composed them into a repeating pattern in Photoshop.
I would love to get your vote for my pattern if you have the time and patience to look through 15 pages of designs. Each time someone goes to the voting pages the designs are randomized, so I couldn’t tell you which page my design will appear on for you.
Below, you can see photos of my design on Spoonflower fabric products along with my original sketches and artwork.
You can vote for the winners of this competition (you get 3 votes) by clicking this link -

It’s my birthday month, and also the month of my favorite art challenge, Folktale Week. It runs from November 17th - 23rd. As many of you know, I am rather obsessed with folklore and fairytales. I also love studying prehistoric cultures and archeology, so l often incorporate relics and Neolithic artifacts into my folklore illustrations. You can participate too - all you have to do is create some art (any medium) with your favorite folktales or fairytales in mind, based on the prompts set for the week. Then tag in your posts. You can also tag the lovely hosts if this art challenge:

Inktober 2025. Here are the first 9 days of my ink drawings for all the prompts. I’m trying to challenge myself to make it through all 31 days of prompts. It’s not as easy as I had planned, but we’ll see if I get them all done.
