One of the most common questions I hear is:
“Can I change my Medicare plan outside of Open Enrollment?”

Answer: In most cases, you can only make changes during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7). However, certain life events—like moving, losing coverage, or qualifying for Extra Help—may allow you to make changes during a Special Enrollment Period.

Choosing the right Medicare Advantage plan starts with understanding your options!

✅ HMO (Health Maintenance Organization): Lower costs, but you’ll need to stay in-network and get referrals.
✅ PPO (Preferred Provider Organization): More flexibility to see any doctor—no referrals needed.
✅ POS (Point of Service): A mix of both

Open Enrollment Reminder🕒

You can only be automatically enrolled in Medicare Part B before age 65 if you’re already receiving Social Security benefits. If you’re not collecting Social Security, you’ll need to sign up yourself by contacting Social Security online, by phone, or in person around 3 months before, during, or after your 65th birthday.
