Today wraps up four long but exciting days of showing, testing, and catching up with old friends while making new ones. I’m honored to place in the Top 5 for Premier Exhibitor, and so thankful for everyone who helped me get this far. I hope to be half the role model you all have been to me.

It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to the graduating seniors who helped me when I was 12 — lost and just starting this journey. Thank you for everything. 💚
I also had a proud chickamom moment when my Bantam Langshan pullet placed above her parents! I’m looking forward to working on my breeding plan over the next few months and continuing toward my Gold Award.

A lot of hard work goes into keeping chickens in show condition. Some people might think it’s a crazy hobby and I agree! 😄 But I’ve learned so much along the way, and I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who has helped me, especially the judges who take the time to answer my silly questions and share their wisdom. I just hope that I can be as helpful to others as they are one day.

Enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new ones at the annual Redstick Poultry Show. It was a great turnout with over 1,500 birds!

The Bantam Langshan from my June hatch surprised me with BB & BV in the Junior show and RB & BV in the open show.

My sweet araucana was one of 3 there representing the endangered breed and bringing awareness.

My young ameraucanas are showing great potential. Fingers crossed everyone is done molting and ready for the 4H season next month.

Super excited to place 2nd my first time in the senior division for showmanship. What a great show!
