SCOTUS MAP DECISION STANDS: The U.S. Supreme Court denied a request on Wednesday to reconsider its ruling on Louisiana’s congressional redistricting case. ❌

In a brief order, the court denied a motion filed by Press Robinson and others seeking to “recall the judgment” in the case Louisiana v. Callais and the related case Robinson v. Callais.

On May 5, a group of plaintiffs asked the Court to rethink part of its recent decision in a Louisiana redistricting case. They argued that the court acted too quickly.

The order means the Supreme Court will not reconsider its earlier decision involving Louisiana’s congressional map.

MISSING GIRL FOUND: St. Gabriel Police found a girl who's been reported missing since Feb. 2024. 🙌

In a social media post, the department announced officers arrested Lionel Moore, 39, who was driving the car where the child was found. He had a felony warrant out of EBR.

The Dept. of Children and Family Services is now helping the girl.
