The National Education Scorecard, which is a combined research effort by Harvard, Stanford, and Dartmouth, was released this morning. Louisiana is ranked 1st in the nation for reading growth and 2nd for math growth among states on the new Education Recovery Scorecard.
What an achievement and recognition to our Louisiana teachers and students. Louisiana is doing it.
Thanks to Governor Jeff Landry, Dr. Cade Brumley, BESE, teachers, colleagues and elected officials for an inspiring, encouraging morning.

A great way to serve our children and our community is supporting Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital fundraiser, The Big Bash. A great evening.

It’s Friday evening and Cindy and I love when our grandchildren stop by to get dressed up for another school event( we live near PBS). Check this beautiful young lady out, Ramsey Edmonds! She’s all grown up!

It’s been a full week across the district.

Honored to be part of the Chipping In Golf Tournament in Livingston Parish supporting St. Jude. Spending time with Monroe Lockhart and his family was a powerful reminder of the impact St. Jude has on so many lives.

Also great to be in Central for the City Hall grand opening, a big milestone for a growing community, and to spend time in Ascension Parish for a candidate forum hosted by Moon Griffon.

The Supreme Court decision marks a turning point and major win for Louisiana.

While the map is shifting, our mission remains the same: the Capital Region’s need for proven, effective leadership is absolute. I am committed to our purpose and staying in this race.

Right now, I am taking the fight to the State Senate floor to ensure our new Capital Region district reflects the people it serves. We don't need a political opportunist who moved here just to find an open seat on a map; we need a representative who lives our challenges daily. From tackling violent crime to securing flood prevention and infrastructure, I have a proven record of delivering results.

While district lines may move, my commitment to this community is set in stone. I remain ready to be your voice in Washington.

Cindy has been by my side through every campaign and has seen firsthand the work it takes and the people we’re fighting for.

I’m running to be District 5’s next Congressman, and I’d be honored to have your support.

Early voting starts this Saturday, May 2, and Election Day is May 16.

I’m ready to fight for the people of Louisiana.

This past weekend, Cindy and I made the trip to Natchitoches to honor the life of our longtime friend, Coach Sam Goodwin.

His legacy is one that will never be forgotten. A legendary coach at Northwestern State, but more importantly, a great man who made a lasting impact on so many, from his players to his family and friends.

Thank you to the Goodwin family for allowing me to be a part of celebrating his life and legacy alongside so many others whose lives he touched.

We’re done treating gang violence as a social symptom.

We must aggressively confront this insurgency with the full weight of our law enforcement. I’m calling on the federal government to send us agents in droves to support our state and local efforts.

A highly trained joint task force unlike anything the streets of Baton Rouge have ever seen.

Enough is enough.
