I’m a firm believer in we always reap what we sow, and that we must be intentional about how we sow, and protective of that seed. This year I’m protecting my seed, MY BUSINESS. The stigma behind black businesses being cheap, free and unprofessional is simply frivolous.
My business is my plan A, B and C! In 2022 I decided to break boundaries and NOT have a plan to fall back on!! If I’m going to fall I’ll fall on faith this year, falling forward so I can see what I’m hitting! Falling forward allows me to take risks head on and conquer my falls. My word for 2022 was CONQUER! In 2021 I became frustrated ALOT and came up with 5+ backup plans in my head which made me lose sight of my business!
I’m saying all this to say be Intentional about your business, don’t lose sight and don’t let anyone make you feel like just because your a black owned business you should be cheap. Be intentional about your business!! Highlight your goals to continue growing and provide space to become even more specific in choosing new clients and projects. It took me a long time to grasp the concept that every client is not your client. I wanted to accommodate everyone that inquired and come up with a solution for everyone’s budget although, I knew some were not feasible and would ultimately have my business in the negative. Being intentional about my business has taught me the importance behind every client is not your client.
I’m saying all this to say… This year BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS!! Be intentional when sowing into other businesses and individuals don’t be an unintentional sower in 2022 and reap unwanted fruit ❤️
