MEET OTIS!!
Otis is a 6 yr old, 13 lb. Male, Rat Terrier mix, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm NEG and on prevention. He is recovering from a severe flea infestation. He had allergic reaction to the fleas and is currently being treated and will be neutered once the infection is cleared up. He is sweet once he becomes comfortable and then he would love to be someone's constant companion. He had full bloodwork in which the only abnormal values were consistent with the flea-related skin issues.
Working on potty training. He definitely prefers to go outside and will let you know he needs to go. He lived with another dog and got along with her fine. He's getting used to our other animals. He likes some of our dogs and others not so much, but just normal dog-selective behavior. Indifferent to the cats after the first meeting. He will be microchipped at neuter.
Good vetting history and a fenced yard preferred. All dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped. We do not facilitate same-day adoptions, therefore, if you are interested, please submit an application for our review and approval. John Mark Theriot's Birthday Fundraiser for By Second Chance Dog Rescue

Our sweet boy Asher, the blind Pomeranian, came to us after having been abandoned or possibly lost at a truck stop in Mississippi. He spent some time with us, being co-fostered and attending numerous local adoption events before he was adopted and transported to Columbus, OH in 2019. He lived out his life, loved and cared for by his new family. We are grateful for fosters and for adopters who give their love to the imperfect ones. ❤
