They will transform ordinary tin cans into massive musical sculptures to fight local food insecurity.

Welcome to Tri-Cities Canstruction!
A Large-Scale Design Competition Using Canned Food to Fight Hunger
This is a unique collaboration between the Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles Chambers of Commerce and we are excited to bring this one-of-a-kind event to the Tri-Cities and beyond.

Our 2027 theme is Harmony for Hunger and it will combine creativity, engineering, teamwork and compassion - a friendly build competition, an open to the public exhibit at Waubonsee Community College and judging, culminating with the donation of 25,000- 30,000 cans of food to area food pantries.

Hollywood Casino has committed as the exclusive Presenting Sponsor for this inaugural event.
