Does ADHD get worse as we age?

Not exactly. But it can feel like it does.

In our 20s and 30s, we often survive on urgency, pressure, and adrenaline. Then midlife arrives. More responsibility. More decisions. Less hormonal support. Estrogen drops. Dopamine struggles. The systems that once worked start to crack.

It is not that you are getting worse.
It is that the margin for error is smaller.

Add perimenopause, disrupted sleep, emotional labor, and years of masking, and suddenly the brain feels louder.

But here is what improves with age.
Clarity.
Pattern recognition.
Self awareness.

You are not failing. Your brain just needs a different strategy now.
And that is not weakness. That is adaptation.

I'm still behind every holiday 😵‍💫 My concept of time was never good, but it's so bad with menopause.

This planter isn't quite the right fit for this hanger, but it still works. The crocheted hanger has a circular wire base and the gems all attach to wires, which help hold the shape. I used a candle base decoration so it's an upcycled crochet plant hanger. This one is a gift and I'm hoping to get images from them once they choose a plant to hang in it.✌️🥰🧶

Update on my yarn storage, first picture is before I added some of my new tins...I need a LOT more tins. I still have 4 totes of yarn to set up in tins. I do still have 4 tins to tack up, but I haven't even gotten to my fuzzy fluffy yarns yet, so I definitely need more. 😅 Look what your trash can be transformed into.
