What a wonderful weekend we’ve had! We had our first Christmas outing without Dad this year, but Judy was ready to step right in and fill or I might say ‘over-fill’ his shoes for us! A stranger sitting beside us even overheard us say it was our first Christmas shopping trip w/o our dad, when she left she kindly paid for our meal!’ That had to be dad!!!!! We love you so much Judy-we are very lucky to have you and hope to continue to have many more memories!
Then the funnest shopping trip together! We laughed, shopped and ate until we were exhausted! Knowing our dad was with us the whole time! One store even carried our many bags out to our car for us-just like daddy had done so many times! That literally was his job-drop us off at the door, come in, find us, carry our bags out to the car, repeat several times!! 😂
Then a surprise Birthday Party for my sister-even had a parade and a live band we had not planned for! Again, I know daddy wanted her to have the best surprise party she’d ever had! Family filled the wonderful ‘Ernie’s Tavern’ ‘Old Bloomfield Meeting Hall’, in Bloomfield Ky and it did not dis-appoint!! The Nest Store in Bloomfield was amazing (always is)!
It is much different this year without our dad, but somehow our lives have become so much richer-closer-deeper-appreciative and filled with gratitude for each other! My dad was a great man and he’s left many great people in my life! I’m completely fulfilled with love and peace!! Thank you, Daddy!
