@necannacon Maryland 2024 was one for the books!   If you know me, you know that I have been to many NECANN’s in different states since entering the cannabis industry in 2016. Most recently, I had the opportunity to speak on a panel at NECANN Boston about @thetetragramapp. Still, this past weekend, attending NECANN #maryland was very different. Why? Because it took place in my home state of Maryland!   On March 14th, 179 deserving social equity applicants received cultivation, retail, or processing licenses in Maryland. The distribution of new licenses was perfect timing for NECANN to hold its first conference in Maryland. It was great to see several folks I’ve known for years finally see their #dream come true. The energy was electrifying and contagious. The excitement took me back to 2014 when Maryland first legalized cannabis medicinally. In the chaos of rescheduling conversations, it was awesome to see those who want to build dispensaries in communities they care about, grow plants they are passionate about, and be committed to an industry that requires persistency like no other.   I can’t help but stay positively #motivated for the future of the industry.

Running has always been my form of meditation and helps me prepare for the day.
