Byrd’s “Ave verum corpus” was written at a time when writing music in Latin was outlawed in England. Byrd’s steadfast commitment to his faith, along with his need to write music that was authentic and true to himself, makes his beautiful setting all the more poignant. Come and join us for this wonderful evening of music as Dualis joins forces with the amazing . “As If We Mean It” is an exploration of what it means to be authentic and honest in the way that we express ourselves. This concert will fuse classical and contemporary choral music with jazz and electronic music, and will feature world premieres of music by Nasir Scott and Kevin Crouch .

We are so excited to announce our second concert of the 25-26 season, “As If We Mean It.” This concert explores the ideas of expression, authenticity, and honesty in a musical context. We will be joined by pianist and composer Nasir Scott, who writes Romantic-inspired music with a twenty-first century spin. The concert will feature two world premieres, one by Kevin Crouch and another by Nasir Scott, along with a variety of classical, jazz, and electronic works.
