Elevation Has A Price Tag started out as a hashtag and just like many hashtags, it took on a life of its own. I started to believe it. I began to live it.
As a Baltimore, Maryland native, Katie-Marie has experienced just about all that Baltimore has to offer, living in Baltimore County and Baltimore City has taught Katie-Marie how to do more than survive. It's taught her how to live and chase her dreams without fear. It's true what they say, If you can make it here you can make it anywhere.”
Entrepreneurship came easy after becoming a business owner at the age of thirteen. “Something Extra”, (the name of her snowball stand) was the perfect start to understanding business. There was overhead, products to make and customers to serve. As the business grew so did Katie-Marie's silent ambition to become an entrepreneur. From there she became the ultimate hustler, selling lollipops, accessories, handbags, and now she is the owner of Baltimore’s Largest Girls’ Night Out event, Over Accessorized. Although many believe “Over Accessorized” is a jewelry or accessory business, the name OA is actually a metaphor. After meeting many women who have and are battling breast and ovarian cancers, domestic violence, and all sorts of strong holds Katie-Marie named her girls’s night out event Over Accessorized for all of the “accessories” (baggage) that women carry with them on a daily bases. The experience Katie-Marie has received by working with “tall business” owners, and “tall non-profits” has given her some of the greatest content for Elevation Has A Price Tag. The experiences, the pitfalls, the questions and the biggest fears of “tall businesses” owners are wrapped up in this brutality honest, funny and serious, read. If there isn’t anthing else you get from the pages of this book… Katie-Marie wants you to get a new respect for the power of creation with completion. Many believe that Katie-Marie is this super ultra busy woman, but in actuality, she's a homebody, yearning for quiet moments to read, take naps and to create great memories with her family and friends. One of her favorite quotes is that of her grandmother’s, when she rode from DC to Baltimore with a tear stained face.

It’s Saturday…We’re about to be closed til Wednesday, help me dump the fridge. Let me cook for you! I’m in the mood to cook it all. I’m working with Cornish hen, whiting, shrimp, salmon, pasta, rice, and some veggies… We close at 8, pickup til 9. No dish more than $25. But ima hang around $15.
