Rod Misey was the goddamn king of Baltimore punk/alternative/college radio. He turned a whole generation of Baltimore kids onto all of this brilliant new music. Delivered us from a f*cking wasteland of “Ebony and Ivory” is what he did. I tuned into his Pandora’s Box show on WCVT and one Hüsker Dü song later and I desperately wanted to go to Towson State and get on that radio station. He kept putting great tunes out into the air and inspiring new music fiends right up until the end. That he just passed away sucks. He was a great guy, an absolute legend of the radio, a champion of local music, and a good Curley grad. Safe home, Rod. You will be missed .
