A lot of you are new to my page, so you missed a lot of my earlier videos…the best ones, if you ask me, so let’s revisit the police and detective shows of the 1980s. Tell me, in the comments, which ones were your favorites.

Time for Timer was a series of short, animated public service announcements (PSAs) that aired on ABC during Saturday morning cartoons in the mid-1970s, featuring a character named Timer who promoted healthy habits like eating breakfast and snacks, brushing teeth, and getting enough sleep. Do you remember this particular PSA, and others like I Hanka For A Hunka Cheese, which I posted a few months ago???

OMG, I stumbled across this late 1970s video, and it hit me like a ton of bricks, because these commercials were HUGE when we were children. My father wore Old Spice, and I’m sure all of your fathers did as well. Did you recognize Larry Wilcox from Chips right away??? Let me know in the comments.

When we were growing up, most brands had a mascot that we associated with the items they were selling. These mascots, and the commercials that highlighted them, are now a special part of our childhood memories and I just wanted to highlight a few.
