Circle Princess- Pitching Lessons
We know how to coach the individual &taught IR before it was cool.
Mental health in athletes is a serious matter.
We talk a lot about sore muscles, injuries, and recovery days, but we don't talk enough about what happens when an athlete's central nervous system becomes overloaded.
Constant practices. Games. Travel. Pressure to perform. Expectations from coaches, parents, teammates, and even themselves.
When the CNS gets fried, it doesn't just affect performance—it can affect mood, motivation, confidence, sleep, focus, and overall well-being.
Sometimes an athlete doesn't need to "work harder." Sometimes they need recovery, support, understanding, and a chance to reset.
Strong athletes aren't immune to mental fatigue. In fact, some of the toughest competitors are the ones quietly carrying the heaviest load.
Let's normalize taking care of the mind with the same urgency we give to taking care of the body. ❤️
Apparently gravity forgot who it was dealing with.
This kid can do it all! She can spin the ball up ⬆️ down 🔽 and side to side! She can break 1400 rpm sometimes. She's still working hard on getting the efficiency up. I am a proud pitching coach. 💪💕😊
Crazy softball drama. there is honestly too much to cover, but here's a snip bit of what happened. There were crazy emotions in almost a sideline brawl with the transfer from Florida in the middle of it because she was hit 5 times. Social media is arguing if she leaned in to some, and that umps must have got a bit of that TT $$$. What's your take?
Big moves create big results.
The bigger the steps in, the longer and more explosive the stride out. Stop avoiding uncomfortable training zones and start living in them. Growth happens when you repeatedly push past what feels easy until the uncomfortable becomes the norm. As pitchers, that’s where breakthroughs happen.
Some throw. Circle Princess girls dominate.
Queen of circle= Problem for hitters!
NO WRIST SNAPS!
I have been teaching IR since the 1990's and still have girls that think they are supposed to go up close and perform "wrist snaps" as part of their warm up. Who still teaches this?
This was a hot topic on social media about a decade ago and I'm glad it's making it's rounds again.
Crowned by work ethic. Built by Circle Princess. 👑

Shout out to Lila who was walking at her high school graduation a few nights ago, and then Lila closed out the win for UNG. Her senior year of high school has been to remember! Now she and her fellow teammates move on in their fight to capture the title of National Championship in D2 at University of North Georgia (yes, she combined her last year of high school and first year of college together).
To say I'm proud to be her pitching instructor is an understatement!
