They call me Prank Sinatra 😉 Did I play the best April Fool’s joke ever on my kids? Or is it 🤣🤣

Before and after of our hallway upgrade (swipe to see the before)! This may be the smallest project I’ve ever done, but it really made a big impact! I painted the walls a lighter color (SW Alabaster) and painted the crown molding white. Then I painted the doors and door frames a creamy beige color (SW Accessible Beige). I loveee the color and I think it makes the doors look more custom and less blah. Plus the wood tone trim felt cheap and broke up the space visually, where this looks more intentional and bright and open. That’s my opinion anyway… what do you think?
More mobile home remodel projects are coming! 😍😁 Stay tuned!

If you are a little *extra* like me and want to make Valentines Day more fun, try a little scavenger hunt for the kids! We don’t go all out for V Day, but I do get my kids a little treat. I think this will make it more special - and it didn’t cost extra or take much time!
(Can’t take all the credit for this idea - I got it from Woodstock City Upstreet on IG 😁)

I came up with a thoughtful new activity for our advent calendar this year! Originally I had planned for everyone to say something nice about each family member at dinner time, but I decided to take it a step further (so we could keep our little trees forever).
Each person has their own tree. Each family member has a different color ornament, star, or tree skirt to write a kind message for everyone. Then the trees get decorated and we can enjoy reading the sweet sentiments all month!
And yes — we even had to say something nice about ourselves. That wasn’t easy for everyone, but I thought it was important that we practice being kind to ourselves as well. 🥰🎄

Simple hack for those backless ikea cube shelves:
I got tired of Rowen’s books getting pushed out the back of his little bookshelf, so I took a small piece of scrap wood and cut it to fit just inside the shelf (that’s 13.5 inches FYI). Used some leftover screws that I refuse to ever throw away because I know I’ll need them for projects like these lol, and added a short little “back” to these shelves. Zero cost, zero waste!
That purple crayon scribble though… I can’t take credit for the custom artwork. 😂😂
