This lovely Black Widow was found out by a vehicle. A spider this size can be lethal to small children. Her body was bigger than a quarter.

Warm weather indeed brings out black widows. As temperatures rise, black widow spiders become more active, typically beginning in late spring and peaking in summer and early fall. They are cold-blooded and their activity levels are directly tied to environmental temperatures, making them more visible and likely to be encountered during warmer months. Additionally, black widows prefer warm and dry places, often seeking shelter in garages, sheds, and basements as temperatures increase.
