A bit of a crazy story behind this table*. My client bought this table at a flea market in Europe. The seller was Belgian and spoke no English, she spoke no French, so she negotiated for the table and chairs in German and has had the whole set for more than 20 years!

Those 20 years of memories had worn their way not only into the table top but into is grains as well. The plan was to keep it's gorgeous craftsmanship visible as well as display those grains full of memories. It needed a finish that complimented it's beauty and allow it to live on. So here she is! ❤️

Amy Coveno, I wish for you and your family to have another 20 plus years of memories, love and laughter around your now heirloom piece. 💕

I love seeing people smile when they come to pick up their furniture. Another 2 pieces out the door. This cute secretary desk, which looks like a bureau in disguise was in rough shape with all its paint flaking off. The desk was sanded down, degreased, it was primed, patched and received fresh paint. It also received beautiful drawer liners, stenciling on the drawer sides and fresh paint on its hardware.

The little table was a bit of a tough project. It came to me completely covered in a black faux leather material. I removed the leather and then took on the challenge of removing the head to toe adhesive!! 😖 I tried a heavy duty adhesive remover to no avail, so moved on to sanding, sanding and more sanding…..the adhesive kept gumming up my sander, but I finally got it to a point where I could start repairing the imperfections. Success!!! On to painting and then finished with the lovely gold details the customer requested. They are such a great pair now!!

This 1930s Chippendale cedar chest just stands bright in the spotlight now! Just look at those curved legs and those copper colored claw toenails! You would never know it, but this timeless beauty was in rough shape when it was delivered to me a month ago. It had dings and scratches and it’s old luster had faded away.

Durand thank you so much for trusting me with your family heirloom. I truly hope it fits perfectly in your new home in NY.

These pretty white dressers received a sleek modern look and have made their way back home! Christine Walzel thank you so much for trusting me to refinish these antique pieces for your daughter, Charlee ❤️. These dressers were originally Christine’s grandparents and have been stored in her dads basement for years. They had good bones, but just needed some TLC and a new vision. I began this project by gluing and clamping areas that had lifting and damaged veneer, repairing holes, filling dings and installing a new drawer slide where one was missing. I also relocated the original hardware location, filled in the mounting holes and the original decorative grooves that spaned the drawer faces. This change brought forth a modern streamlined look accentuated by the updated and relocated stunning new gold drawer pulls. The dresser was painted in a timeless white chalk paint and I applied a harliquin stencil in gold to each of the drawer sides. The drawer interiors were treated to ultra modern Art Deco style drawer liners. Within the top drawers was a sliding jewelry tray that was missing a divider. I built and installed a new divider then stained it to match the original tray assembly giving it new life and a fresh look. Always a good feeling to send a newly refinished piece home.

This pretty Queen bed frame has been finished up and has gone back home! Amy Bergeron Pereira thank you for allowing and trusting me to do this project for your daughter!!

Boy did this one give me a run for my money….. what I thought would be a simple paint job turned into more of a project than I expected. When the bed came to me the original finish was flaking and dried out, so I started the project by sanding all the wood to remove the poly and stain. After that, I began to prime…..well, this bed frame soaked in the primer and kept bleeding through EVERY coat! After one coat of Dixie Belle Boss primer, I knew it just wouldn’t cut it. I moved on to use BIN Shellac Primer and applied 3 more coats to try and seal in the tannins. I was finally ready to start! I added a beautiful Woodubend rope molding to the top border of the headboard and footboard to give it a little more character. Amy’s daughter chose two different sun stencils. I created a raised stencil using Dixie Mud to the headboard and the footboard. The suns have a beautiful sentimental meaning to her daughter as her grandfather who passed in 2018 use to call her “Sunshine” 🌞. What a sweet remembrance of him 💕. The bed was painted white and the raised stencils were adorned with a pearlescent opal paint to make them stand out and shine. I truly hope she loves her new bed and smiles every time she looks at and remembers her grandfather.

Well what can I say, I can finally close the chapter on this massive dining set I completed for my home (one table leaf missing from photos….all together it’s 9’ long!). I found this set on Facebook Marketplace and knew I had to have it and also knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! 🎨 I ended up sanded the top down to raw wood and restained it in Dixie Belle walnut gel stain, then sealed with 4 coats of poly. The 8 chairs and legs of the table were painted in Dixie Belle chalk paint in the color Sawmill Gravy and sealed with 3 coats of DB Gator Hide for the most durable finish. I applied DB brown wax in all those gorgeous details throughout the legs to make them pop! I then reupholstered the chairs in a beautiful soft green paisley fabric that compliments the carpet and room decor perfectly!! I’m beyond happy with how it all came together and will soon be refinishing my grandfathers buffet to make this a blended set.

I’ve been working on a lot of small pieces over the last few weeks and will be finishing up most of them next week, vacation, yeahhh!. Here is one of those pieces, a beautiful wicker chair. My client asked me to paint this for her, as I had completed two sofa tables and a vanity for her in the same color. They are going to look wonderful all together in her home. The wicker seat is original to the chair, but I gave the body a fresh coat of Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in the color Drop Cloth. This is one of my favorite colors from DB! I even used it to paint my entire master bedroom furniture, I just love it! ❤️

This cute little hand painted toy box is sold and heading to its new home tomorrow! It will be going into a nursery and will be filled with toys and fun for its new little one!

This toy box had layers and layers of thick paint on it, so I stripped and sanded it back to its original natural wood. I then I stained it in a pickling white neutral stain color. The interior was painted in a soft blue and the lid was stenciled with all those pretty stars and clouds. I hand painted the bear and birch trees on the front and sealed all of it in polyacrylic for a durable finish.

This was such a fun one!!

Another vanity off to its forever home!! I’ve done a few of this style vanity and always have fun with them. The customer requested this soft beige color and wanted it slightly distressed. Mission accomplished ✔️. I even painted the ugly royal green velvet it had in the interior to this soft pink. Yes, you can paint fabric with this paint!! I purchased a new piece of foam for the stool and reupholstered it in a beautiful complimentary fabric.

These pretty little sofa tables finally went home to their owner!! They turned out to be more of a challenge than I expected because once I stipped off the original paint, I found out the tops were not real wood 😖. The client had originally wanted them stained, but once I realized they weren’t wood, we agreed paint was the way to go. To remove the stripper, I used mineral spirits and either the stripper or the mineral spirits did not play nice with the particle board tops, and caused some sort of bleed through when I went to paint. I had applied a stain blocker and a shellac prior to painting, but a little stain still bleed through. I then applied 3 thin coats of a clear spray shellac and that stopped that finicky little bleed through stain. On to the finishing paint and top coats!! I’m very happy with the results, but these little tables gave me a run for my money that’s for sure! Here they are in all their glory!

SOLD: These two beauties are tried and true antiques. They had a long history and were well used and like most old furniture, they ended up being left in a basement to age and collect dust. They still had great bones but were worn out and needed much repair. When I picked them up, the wood had been scratched and chipped, there were some missing and broken drawer tracks, as well as some missing casters. I knew with a little love and TLC they could be brought back to life and shine again. 💙

I started by cleaning and degreasing to remove the years of dirt and grime. I then began the repair work by filling, sanding, and getting them ready for paint. I had new tracks made and installed them to the drawers that needed repair. I applied wax to help these heavy, deep drawers slide smoother. I kept the original glass of the mirrors. These pieces carry the weight of their age and hopefully you find the beauty in them and can envision them in the perfect spot in your home.

I wanted to capture some of that gorgeous original wood, so I stained the tops in a walnut stain to show the beauty of the wood grain. They were then sealed with 4 coats of poly. Both pieces were then painted in a stunning navy blue and trimmed in a gold gilding wax to highlight all those eye catching moldings! The interior cabinet and drawers were painted in a complimentary lighter blue and the drawers received new drawer liners to provide that final restorative touch.

Dimensions are:

💙 Dresser - 47”W x 21”D x 36”H
💛 With mirror - 34”H

🖤 Tall armoire - 33.25”W x 18.5”D x 54.5”H

Would prefer to keep as a set, but would be willing to sell individually as well.

$350 each, $700 total

Did a quick revamp of these 2 lamps for my mom! The old beige lamps didn’t match her newly refinished gray bedroom, but she still loved the lamps. Nothing a little paint and dark wax can’t take care of.

This stunning buffet and set of 6 chairs went back home this weekend and I hope my client loves them! I will be completing the dining table that goes with these chairs next 🤩

The buffet received new hardware, decorative stencils on the drawer sides, drawer liners and a pretty stencil design on the inside of the cabinets. The chairs were reupholstered in a fabric that both compliments the gorgeous gray/blue color and the decor in my clients home.

This adorable cradle is heading home today! This cradle is part of a set that I previously completed (small dresser and jewelry box). These 3 pieces will be going to my customers sister as surprise baby shower gifts next month and I couldn’t be more thrilled! The cradle has been in use for generations and is now ready to rock the families new addition joining their clan soon. 👶🏼

This cradle was in rough shape when I received it. It had layers and layers of stain on it and had lots of cracked, broken and loose spindles, and over drilled wood. I replaced the worst pieces of wood and glued, clamped and repaired what was salvageable. After the structure was finally solid, I sanded the flat surfaces to bare wood and stained and poly’d the frame and painted the body to match the dresser that was previously completed. The cradle is now in a timeless color that can hopefully stay with the family for years to come.
