Damel Transportation will have a 2013 Timpte hopper for lease starting December 1st. The trailer is in great shape. We have plenty of work to keep a driver busy if you have your own truck and want someone to dispatch you.

Damel Transportation and Logistics (DTL) is in search of a full time freight dispatcher/broker. DTL is a bulk freight management and brokerage company based out of Austin, MN. The position will primarily focus on overseeing the sourcing and scheduling of freight bulk commodities for owned, managed, and brokered trucks.

Candidate should be motivated, creative and outgoing with strong customer service skills and to be proficient in keyboarding, computer, email, phone, and data entry. Candidate should also be detail oriented, good at multi-tasking and problem solving while maintaining a calm professional demeanor.
Responsibilities Include:

- Manage load planning of owned and managed trucks
- Accept freight based on capacity and customer needs
- Dispatching Drivers load confirmations and information pertaining to said load Examples: Hours, special instructions, washing info, directions
- Assume and maintain existing freight relationships
- Identify opportunities and establish new freight relationships
- Manage drivers hours of service and needs
- Ensure each load assignment has ample time and fits within the HOS regulations
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 1 year dispatch experience preferred
- Computer skills include, email, Excel, Word, and various file formats
- Knowledge of DOT/FMSCA regulations helpful but willing to train
- Previous experience in transportation industry preferred
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with Customers, Drivers, and various industry staff
- Must be comfortable working with delivery deadlines, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
