Disc Movement

Who's ready for Utopiafest 2016??? We are, and we've designed two nine hole disc golf courses for both a beginner and competitive players alike!! Tournament will be held Saturday between 10 am - 4 pm, and awards will take place at 6 pm!! We will also be hosting a sweet raffle that will be drawn at 1 pm on Saturday as well!! We want to congratulate Tim Escabedo Jr. for taking down the July/August title, great shooting Tim!!! We are proud to announce that Mando Florez, a valued member of our team, just won the "Sizzler" put on by Innova Discs!! Congrats Mando, and we look forward to seeing you keep the momentum going!!

Team Disc Movement member Dylan Frye started his second round 6 strokes off the lead in the junior division at Am Worlds today! Lot's of disc golf left we, and we will be rooting him on the whole way!! Go get em Dylan!!!

Big day for Texas! Champs Paige Pierce, and Bradley Williams showing what Texas Disc Golf is all about out at the Vibram Open!! Congrats you two!!!

Bradley Williams represented Austin disc golf big time today on the national scale by winning his first NT at the Vibram Open!! It was a long time coming, and we are proud to be in a disc golf community that has this caliber of a player!! Congrats Bradley, we here in Austin are cheering for your continuous success and representation of the sport!!!

We are ready for the battle tomorrow out at Swordstone!!

We want to thank Dallas Trench Vann for coordinating this whole thing, and we are excited to announce our new sponsor of our "Local Mini Throwdown Series", Gourdough's Public House!! They are providing the first 50 people that purchase a choice of two different Gourdough's raffle ticket packages at the "June Monthly Championship", with one of their Mother Clucker dishes and a desert depending on which package they raffle package they purchase!! We will also be making a special announcement at the event of their future involvement with the local disc golf community and Disc Movement Events!! We our excited to announce that "The Jo Hell Band" will be playing this Saturday out at Swordstone for Disc Movement's "June Monthly Championship", part of the "Local Mini Throwdown Series!" Check them out and the great blues they will be protecting over the Texas Hill Country at http://www.johellband.com!!! They go on when the last card of the second round finishes up (around 5:30 or 6 pm). You won't want to miss out, see you all out there!!

Marshall Blanks, Captain of "Team Disc Movement", ended up taking down first this past Sunday at "Full Contact Disc's Golf Birthday Bash" out at Swordstone Disc Golf Club! Shooting a hot second round of 46 to move up and take it down, congrats Marshall!!

Here is an updated DMT Cup points list and results from the past two events! If you are wondering what the color schemes mean on each of the results page, here's what they mean: Each of the three colors are based on each individual round, and each player is given a color ranking at the end of each round. Gold: A player shot a round in the top three (trophy ranking) of that round. Silver: A player shot a round that is ranked in a cash position. Bronze: A player shot a round that is ranked in a DMT Cup point earning position. White: A player shot a round that is not in an earning position for that event. When the results come in for the second round, they are given a color rating for that round as well, so each player with have two color rated rounds at the end of the event (could be two different colors, or both the same color depending how they shot). When the final results are posted, the results will show the color ranking for each of the players round, what their final position was in the tournament, and allows people to see if that player moved up or down from each round shot! This will also allow people who didn't play the event to see the moves that were made after the second round, and be able to tell who moved up or down in in the rankings!! I hope you all enjoy, and the DMT cup points are stacking up fast! You miss an event, you might get left behind in the standings for a large prize at the end of the year!
