I hope nothing changes much here! The prices and service and atmosphere are the best I have experienced. Robin does a great job of hiring very capable, knowledgeable staff . I've had awesome facials and massages here. Plaza Cortez access is on a one way 183 access road...not the easiest if you don't plan your exit. There is ample parking behind the building. The front entry decor eases you quickly into spa relaxation. If you are there for multiple treatments, they provide a spa robe and slippers to wear between treatments. There is a separate relaxation room where you can relax alone or with friends. The bathrooms have showers too. I've been a regular customer for over a year now and have no plans on going elsewhere.

I love The Spa at Plaza Cortez. I have been to this day spa for several years. I even went to Robin before she opened this Spa (the one on Anderson Mill)in Austin. The staff are amazing and treat everyone so special. My favorite facials are by Nataylia. She puts me to sleep! I always tell my husband to get me gift certificates to this place. He has even started going here for massages and facials. I have tried other places, but nothing compares to The Spa at Plaza Cortez. I came home raving about my treatment at this Spa. So much so that I made everyone touch my skin to feel how amazingly soft it was. Possibly inappropriate? Yes. True? Also yes.

I am always labeled a workaholic and I have a hard time relaxing my body, not to mention my brain enough to enjoy treatments like this; but by the end of it I said, "Work? What work?! I'm staying here forever!"

I received the body wrap, massage, and facial 3-hour package, and it was well worth it. These people have some of the cheapest spa rates in town, but manage to keep it all homey, comfortable, and clean. It's your basic 1-2 punch of relaxing. If you don't need trendy decor and just want to get down to the nitty-gritty, this place is for you. Don't worry, it is well-appointed, clean and decorated well...it's just not your trendy crowd you'd get elsewhere. It almost feels as comfortable as visiting your mom's place (only without the soul-crushing nagging).

I should mention - these people are MASTERS of the hot towel. Every single treatment, hot towel on the hands/feet, hot towel on the face. Hot towels all over the place! It's a good thing.

The wrap went well; it was something I had never received before. It was altogether uncomfortable and relaxing. It may not be my thing because of the constrictive nature of the wrap, but BOY did it work. My attendant was sweet, and told me what to expect every step of the way though, and it was much appreciated.

My favourite part was the massage. I've had a LOT of massages, and I also have a lot of stress. My masseuse was perfectly in tune with my body and adjusted her pressure to where I was tender and worked out probably a year's worth of knots. I say bravo to her because I KNOW it was not easy.

My facial was fun, I liked learning about my face and got a good peel and exfoliation. This was the only time the hot towels didn't quite work out, as I left with quite a few peely places on my face. I had to run to the store after my appointment and the cashier looked at me like I was some sort of peely-faced monster. But otherwise, it was all top notch.

I went to Robin's because I received a free facial from a drawing and decided to get the parafin-dip on my hands and feet, as well. I found both procedure to be wonderfully relaxing and well done. I will admit, I have never had either procedure done before so I have nothing to compare it to, but there were no obvious "oops" that I could tell and Robin was very friendly and gentle. If I were to have one complaint it would be that I had some wax under my fingernails after the hand dip, which could have easily been taken care of with a quick swipe under each nail with an orange stick, but I would consider that a fairly trivial complaint. All in all a wonderful experience I plan to repeat. Pros: No sales pressure!! Ambience great!
