During this course, you will learn about the role and function of the APTA House of Delegates (HOD) and how it impacts your practice as a PT, PTA, and student. You will also have an opportunity to discuss select motions and provide feedback on the 2024 Motions that our Texas delegates will be deliberating and voting on during the APTA HOD in Kansas City later this month. There will be CCUs awarded for attending this event!

We share our congratulations and gratitude for the significant contributions they have made to the field of physical therapy, and for exemplifying excellence in the fields of education, practice and service, publications, research, and academics. To honor their achievement, award recipients will be recognized at the APTA Honors and Awards reception Sunday, July 21, at 5:30 p.m. and ceremony following at 7:30 p.m. Both events will take place at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri and in conjunction with APTA Leadership Congress.

Huge win for APTA Alabama, A Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association! Governor Kay Ivey has signed legislation removing restrictions tied to direct access to physical therapist services in Alabama. Patients can now see a physical therapist for evaluation and treatment without a physician's referral.
