The 3d tumbling block end grain cutting board is small in size, about 12x13x1.4. $100
The big one is face grain walnut and maple. About 22x12x1. $80. I also have a mantle clock made from spalted pecan. Gold epoxy was used to fill in cracks and imperfections in the wood for a nice effect. $80
Call or text me at 512.656.4885 if interested. Any of these would make a perfect unique gift.
Fortunately while the quarentine has been going on I have been busy in the shop. Just finished a mantal clock made out of spalted pecan. I added gold powder to epoxy to fill all the holes a and insect tunnels. Really turned out nice. I also made a Texas flag lap board for cleaning guns. Putting lacquer on now so ill post the photo in a few days.
At the recent Austin Police Retirement Association lunch I gave a free clock to one of the members in a drawing. Johnny Rable was the lucky winner, and this is his clock with his employee number engraved into the old APD badge. Gave it to him today.
It's been awhile since I last updated my ATX Woodcrafts projects. It has been a busy quarter. Featured are some of the newer projects since Christmas. The counter top is a restoration project for a customer I met at the Galleria Christmas bazaar where Bob Travis, with Totally Bobs Custom Woodworking, and I set up a store front. After sanding it,I refinished it with Waterlox waterproof finish. Outstanding product. I also made my first plaque for the FBI. I like the challenge coins. Then I used my CNC machine to make a keepsake box. It is made of Padauk wood, and Denise loves it. I made a couple of nut or candy bowls out of walnut and maple. This US flag was custom made for a Vietnam Veteran designed to tell his story. This was a particularly challenging project which I am very proud of. Last is a very large (24 x 18 x 2.5 ) walnut end grain cutting board with juice groove and maple H inlay. Check out my web sight at atxwoodcrafts.com if you get time.
Wrapping up a great year for ATX Woodcrafts. Its a full time job now. Seems like I am out in the shop everyday.
Everything I make is by word of mouth the word has finally gotten out there. Thank you to everyone who has viewed and liked my work. Here are some pictures of some of this years projects. Many thanks to the Austin Police Association for the honor of making plaques for retiring Officers.
I have good news for ATX Woodcrafts. Beginning this Saturday and all Saturdays until Christmas I will have a booth at a Christmas artisans bazaar located at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave, Texas. It will be from 4pm till 9pm each Saturday evening until Christmas. On display will be some of my hand made wood products including cutting boards and Christmas themed serving boards. This great opportunity gets even better because Bob Travis owner of Totally Bob's woodworking will be right beside me showing his spectacular woodworking skills. Please come by and see what we have. The Ginger Man is located there as well. I can not think of a better way to shop, have a beer, and support local artisans. Here is a sample of some of the items available. Be sure to check out Totally Bob's page to see his work.
It is time to get your custom orders in for the Christmas season such as custom end grain cutting boards like this.
Attending my first arts and crafts fair this Holiday season in Lakeway. Hope to make some sales.

Go by Austin Beerworks and order a flight of beer. Then check out those beautiful flight holders. Yep, ATX Woodcrafts made em.
If you are not about to retire, fear not. I am also making clocks with the APD badge in the middle or simply a badge clock. Customized with your rank and employee number. Work for another Agency? No problem. All I need is a high resolution graphic of the badge or patch. I have also done a few Military unit patches for clocks. I think that is going to be popular as well. Thanks for the support............Bill T.
It has been some time since my last update. My apologies. I have been real busy in the shop. If you have not heard, I got a gig making retirement plaques for the Austin Police Association. Now Officers about to retire can choose either my plaque or the shadow box. I am very proud to be associated with the association! These are my first eleven plaques for the APA which I plan to deliver tomorrow.

Finally treated myself to some of my own work. I made this clock with my rank and employee number and it turned out really nice. I plan to start making these for folks. I can put the APD badge and employee number in or I can cut anything else that you want in the center. Like branch of service emblems or monograms. There really is no limit except ones imagination.
In case you have not heard I am also making APD badge plaques for retiree's provided by the APA as an alternative to the shadow box.
For those who saw this on my personal page I apologize for the redundancy, but I needed to put this on my ATX Woodcrafts page.
It was a busy Christmas season for me this year. I started these projects back in September and finished the last board, which was the Marine Corps cutting board, with 24 hours to spare. I really enjoy doing this and look forward to another successful year. I guess I am too late to say Merry Christmas so Happy New Year!
Looking for that last minute Christmas gift? These cutting boards make great gifts and are ready to be delivered. $150.00 each. The end grain Texas flag is made with Maple, Padauk, and Purple Heart woods. It measures 15 x 10 x 1.5 The Austin skyline is side grain and made with Maple with Walnut inlay. Measures 21 x 17.5 x 1. Very big.
Just made this Maple end grain cutting board. It's difficult to appreciate the size of this board based on this photo. It's 24 x 18 x 2.5 thick. Weighs 25 pounds. Massive. This was a challenging build as it was too big to fit in some of the machines I would normally use. There is still time to get your orders in to be finished in time for Christmas.
Its getting near that time of year when you may be looking for that personal and unique gift. Look no further. I can make almost anything your mind can come up with and turn it into a great and functional gift. I expect this year to be busier than last year. If interested please contact me sooner rather than later. Check out the Michigan cutting board. Customer wanted GPS coordinates for where their home is. Great idea.
It has been awhile since I last posted any thing. I am not very good with Facebook. It has been a very busy last few months. The new shop is all finished and set up with some new woodworking machines. I purchased a new jointer and planer. Both made by Grizzly. I also made a finishing table out of mahogany complete with cabinets and drawers. Also I have added photos of the most recent cutting boards I have made.
Just finished this Welsh flag end grain cutting board for Emma Hart. I wasn't sure I could pull this off because of the numerous sharp points. I think it turned out good. The bottom part of the flag is Walnut wood used to simulate the green field of the flag. I was thinking pretty hard about dying some Maple green but decided not to. Worried it would bleed over into the undyed Maple or rub off onto food.
Just finished making these boards. The Welsh flag with dragon in the middle is still under construction. I HAD to take a week off for a golf tournament in Louisiana and surgery May 3rd so it may be awhile before I finish it. Sorry Emma.
Great day. ATX Woodcrafts now has air conditioning. I got a ductless system from Adam at Austin Beerworks . It works!!!!!
Made this spaulted Pecan sliding door for Commander Todd Smith. Might make one for myself. These are becoming very popular in new and remodeled homes.
Also making wood signs for anyone looking to score one.
Also in the works is a Pecan sliding barn door. Not quite finished yet. I am thinking about making one of these for myself. I'll post a photo of the finished door soon
Here is one of around 35 benches made for Austin Beerworks. The spaulted Pecan is beautiful wood. Come by Austin Beerworks Saturday Feb 4 for the grand opening of the new tap room. I plan on being there.
Just finished this Austrailian Flag board made of Purple Heart, Padauk, and Maple. I think the Aussie who ordered it will be happy.
All done! I am too busy with Christmas orders to finish out the interior right now. Probably move in around January. Still a lot of work to do inside like put in an office and electrical. I am really happy with it.
ATX Woodcrafts new world headquarters started going up today. I am really excited to get this building.
Today is day one for ATXWOODCRATS Texas world headquarters. Started construction on new wood shop.
I was given a large amount of hardwoods from a very generous gentleman in South Austin. I heard he was a Cubs fan and that his favorite wood is Bubinga. I made him this Bubinga end grain cutting board for his generousity. Thank you Sir.
I have not delivered this board yet, but I believe it will make the Marine proud. This was the most complicated inlay I have done yet. It wasn't without a lot of headaches, but I think it turned out really well.
Christmas is around the corner. I am making several of these to sell at Riverbend Church Jingle Bell Market coming up in November. I did the show last year and a great time. There are a lot of vendors with great ideas. Sat. NOV 5 9am to 1:30.
