Town Hall is now preparing Welcome Kits for new families that are moving into our community.

These new families are looking for a new EVERYTHING!

Town Hall contacts these new families each week as soon as they move into their new home.

These new families will find new places to eat, work out, wash their car......they need a new Hair Salon, Auto Repair Shop, Dry Cleaner, Pet Groomer, Day Care Facility, Florist, Nail Salon, Pharmacy......you get the idea. They are actively seeking new local businesses and creating new purchasing patterns. They will become someone's next new local, loyal customer.

Town Hall can direct them to you before your competition even knows they are here.

Since our Welcome Kits are exclusive, and we can only accommodate one business per category, I would ask you to kindly let me know if you are interested in being featured in our local Welcome Kits.

I would like to schedule a time when you are expecting me so that I may drop off a sample of our "Welcome Kit" and explain the program in greater detail.

Please reply with your availability or call me at your earliest convenience.

For a faster response, or if you prefer, feel free to text me on my cell which is listed in my signature.

Thanks.

I'm vaxxed! As of April 4th, 2021 I am two weeks post second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Here's what will change for now:

-Pretty much nothing! Masks, cleaning protocols, extra time between clients, air filtration, forms to assess safety and (self)check symptoms...we are still fighting the spread of this virus! Let's do good together.

See you on the table!

It's a two-egg morning! Yes, I am showing you my breakfast...only to tell you that I am finishing up an office move today, and will be ready to greet you on Tuesday. I have been closed down for January, but am gently and carefully re-opening. New case numbers are headed downwards, and from all I can tell, protocols and PPE's work!

And...we're back in Stage 5. The risk of transmission is high out there folks...please stay safe. I am closing my schedule for January and hoping these numbers (which are actual people!) go right back down. I am assuming the Texas Massage liscencing board will shut us down, but I don't want to wait for it. Here is where I get my info:

Given the rising case and hospitalization numbers in Austin, I am doubling down on my ‘no table-talk’ efforts! This means that, to keep us all safe, we should avoid chatting in the treatment room...but I have a reward for it! A new, more diverse musical selection so you can drift away on the tunes of your choice! You can also bring in something you’d like to listen to on your phone. Below are the new (related) questions you will see on the day-of-session symptom/waiver form!

Gently re-opening, September 15th, 2020.

As I have prepared diligently, conferred with other therapists and a clinic that have been open and watched the Travis County numbers decrease, I am planning to re-open on September 15th, with some changes in place:

-Time slots will be a bit more limited to allow for thorough cleaning and laundering.
-The online scheduler will require me to approve your appointment so that I can be sure the Pre-Appointment Covid Checkin form has been completed.
-There is a SEPARATE symptom check form to be filled out on the day of your session, for every session.

Here is the information you will receive in your confirmation email so that you know what to expect! I am hoping this will alleviate your questions or concerns, but reach out to me if you need anything. Go to www.awakenednature.com for more info, and www.rachaelwilder.fullslate.com to schedule.

"New Covid-19 Asks and Info:

Informed Consent Waiver: There is now a Covid symptom check form to fill out on the day of your appointment, before each session. You can find it here: https://forms.gle/J8C4HZkLpUDYUrBk7 If there are questions about your waiver, be prepared that the session might be cancelled, so try to fill it out in the morning and alert me if anything seems questionable. Go ahead and pull it up on your phone now so you know what to expect and that you can complete it on your phone if need be.

Location and parking: Remember that I have moved! My office is located at 4107 Medical Parkway #217, Austin, TX 78756. Parking available in the lot and the street. The entrance is the option on the left as you look at the building. Please follow new protocol for entering.

Arriving: While we do have a small waiting room, it is not big enough for social distancing. Please text me when you arrive and plan to stay outside or in your car until I come fetch you. Don't forget your mask! It must be worn at all times once you enter the building, including during your entire massage. Here is a local place to order masks if you need one: https://sewatx.com/product-category/face-masks/

Communication: Since talking is a primary way for respiratory droplets to transmit this virus, we will check in by text right before your appointment, or earlier in the day. This will be how you can let me know what focus areas or issues you are having so we can address them in the session. I will be available 5-10 minutes before the start of your session for this reason, so please plan to be there in time to get on the table by the session start time!

Table talk: Everyone falls on a different spot on the spectrum in terms of how much they enjoy chatting or silence during their session...and I love it all! During this time, however, we need to reduce conversation in the treatment room as much as possible. Of course tell me if you need anything or have a question, but our visiting should be done beforehand by text or when you are FACE DOWN on the table. I will have a pillowcase hammock under the face cradle to provide an extra barrier, in addition to your mask. This is a sad aspect of the protocol, because I miss y'all!

New abdominal massage clients: The intake involved in this session is longer than you might want to do by text, so we can set up a phone or video chat beforehand. I will get in touch with you about that. Definitely fill out the intake form the day before your session so I have time to go over it and ask questions (links below).

Payment: Debit or credit card payments must be done before you arrive for your session. You can pay when you make the appointment, or send it via PayPal ([email protected]) or Venmo (@Rachael-Wilder-2). I won't be running cards in the office, but I also don't want to followup for payment, so please arrive having paid if plastic is your method of choice! I have devised a way to accept checks and cash safely, so feel free to do it that way too! Gratuity is appreciated (but not mandatory!) and can be done when you pre-pay, with cash, or afterwards on an additional electronic payment.

What to expect: Once I fetch you at the door, I will bring you to the bathroom for use, but also for a CDC approved hand wash! I ask that you do everything in your power to not touch your face or mask after you wash your hands, and if you do, just let me know and I can give you sanitizer. Next you will get comfy on the table and receive an awesome massage as you always do! Yay! The difference will be that you (and I) will have a mask on. It is important to keep the mask secured over your mouth and nose the whole time.

What you can expect from me: As you might guess, I have been planning and preparing for every moment of this session. You can expect that I have the necessary supplies and information to keep us both as safe as possible. All surfaces, including the floor, the bathroom and of course everything you will come into contact with will be sanitized between each session. I am stocked up with EPA approved supplies for every surface, and the protocols put out by the CDC, WHO and even more specific to massage the FSMTB. I will be checking myself as thoroughly as I am asking of you with twice daily temperature and symptom checks, Safe practice guidelines in the office, as well as safe practices outside the office. I am not quarantining, so I do have contact with the outside world as I get life done, but I am doing it as safely as I can.

The importance of bodywork has reached new heights during this time, as well as the need to do it safely!
Together, we can.

Changes/Cancellation Policy: Cancellation fees due to suspected or confirmed Covid-19 are waived during this time. Please allow 24 hours for any cancellation or changes to your appointment. If an emergency arrises in less time, please contact me directly at [email protected]. 50% charge on services without 24 hours notice, emergencies excepted.

See you then!

Update: 6/12/20

With much concern about the dramatic increase in both case numbers and hospitalization levels in Travis County, I am saddened to say that I am delaying my opening. This is an incredibly complex time and decision, and while there are different points of view to take, I cannot in good conscience walk right into these numbers as if they aren't happening.

I know this is disappointing...I am ready to get back to work, and many of you are ready to get back to massage. I pride myself on being present and reliable, so this is extra crazy-making, but I see no clear path forward other than taking it day-by-day, week-by-week, and following the data and my gut.

I truly hope to see you soon!
Rachael

05/22/2020

Greetings out there folks!

I am due for an update, for as some of you know, the governor opened up much of Texas this past Monday, including massage. Without getting too political, I'll just say that the idea that we go from masks and plexiglass to massaging in a little room is bonkers! I know you are all in a different spot on the spectrum of how you feel about...well everything, and I fluctuate as well as I navigate this unprecedented situation.

Personally, I want to see the numbers go down, and I would like to see what happens when we re-open less personal businesses. But here we are...so I am making a plan that feels responsible to both myself and my clients...I hope you agree, or at least understand!

My current plan is to open on Tuesday, June 23rd. That will give time for the current mayhem to play out and we can look at the results. I know this is later than I previously posted...it has become clear that we won't know the results of this week until into June, so I am rolling with it. My sincere hope is that something will cause this virus to fade, and we can all be less distant with each other! There will still be new protocols in place, and I will let you know what they are before you come in.

I will be seeing less people/day, to make space for thorough cleaning in-between each of you, and daily laundering. I also am ordering supplies to create a cleanable environment. To account for all of this, I made a slight price increase to account for all of this.

Another change is that I have eliminated the 75- and 90- minute therapeutic ('regular') massage session options. This has actually been on my radar for awhile now, as a body-saving act on my part. But now I will be working in a mask...which is HOT! If you have a package or gift certificate, it will certainly be honored, and happily so...I love my forever clients!

I will send out another communication when I open up my schedule, with everything you need to know before you arrive. It will include mask wearing, so if you don't have one, start shopping! Here is a local dance wear company that has shifted to making them: https://kizzidancewear.com (linked below)

As always, in health,
Rachael

Ps...here is something I have been doing during this time...facilitating monarch success!
