Storyville Austin

The Austin shop is now closed, but we'll be back in 2014 selling our tees through other Texas vendors. Stay tuned.

If you haven't picked up a fixture that you bought, time is of the essence. We plan to have everything completely out of the space by noon on Tuesday so that we can hand in the keys.

The shop is closed, but we are giving away our few remaining fixtures. First come, first serve. But you have to come get them today.

Today is our final day of business. Only 61 tees left in the shop, and most of them are only eight dollars. Also, all of the fixtures in the shop are on sale and most are around $20 or less. Come and see us before we close for good at 7 pm.

Tomorrow is the last day for Storyville Austin. Everything is on sale... our last 100 tees, tables, lamps, mannequins, framed posters, etc. Come and get it before we close for good on Sunday night at 7 pm.

Shop Closing Update: As of Friday morning, only 180 items are left in the shop. We've got 94 short sleeve items left that are only $8 and 86 long sleeve items left that are only $12. Get them before they're gone. We also have some tables for $40 and $30 and some hang racks for $25. Everything will probably be gone by Sunday.

Shop closing update: we're down to about 300 apparel items in the shop. We've also lowered the price of the long sleeve stuff (including sweat shirts and burnout long sleeve raglans) from $16 to $12. All short sleeve items are only $8. Get your Storyville tees before they're all gone.

Shop Closing Sale update: All long sleeve tops are now only $12! We've got a few different designs and styles left in long sleeve, so be sure to check them out while they're still available!

Don't forget to stop by Storyville one last time! We've still got a bunch of great tees on sale, but they're going fast!

It’s the end of an era: Storyville is saying good bye to Austin after more than 6 years of slingin’ tees in that wonderful city.

The space we’re in on South Congress is just too large. We’ve evolved to do business in smaller spaces — in Baton Rouge, we occupy a small, 500-square-foot shop. At Lakeside Mall, we sell tees off of two side-by-side carts. We don’t need a lot of space to display our t-shirts, and we don’t sell anything large enough to demand more space. The rent per square foot on South Congress is not cheap, and we have a LOT of square feet that we don’t use. There aren’t really any small spaces on South Congress that would suit our needs, either.

So, it’s time to say good bye.

Our last day of business will be Sunday, Nov. 10. In the meantime, we are having a huge blowout sale. All baby, kids, and short-sleeve adult items are only $8. All long-sleeve tees and sweatshirts are $16. Come by and get a great deal before we’re gone!

We opened Storyville Austin, our second retail location, in August 2007, in the shadow of the University of Texas. After three years there, we realized that South Congress was the place to shop fun, funky boutiques in the Capital City. So we moved to the world-famous South Congress Avenue.

We’ve had a booth for five Austin City Limits festivals, we’ve participated in many Old Pecan Street fests, we ate Torchy’s Tacos and we swam in the beautiful water of Lady Bird Lake. We can’t wait to come back to Austin as tourists, and show our son the beauty of that city.

We’re sad because we love Austin, and we’ve made so many fun memories there. But we’re glad that if we are lucky enough to return to the Austin market, we will do so with more experience under our belt, and in a way that we know will work for us. We’ll see you soon, Austin.
