I always replace the rotors and brake pads at the same time. It’s my personal recommendation and a practice I follow on all my own vehicles.

Here’s why:

✔ Better Performance – Fresh rotors provide a smooth, even surface for new pads to grip, improving braking efficiency.

✔ Prevents Uneven Wear – Worn or grooved rotors can cause new pads to wear unevenly, reducing their lifespan.

✔ Avoids Warping & Vibrations – Older rotors can develop heat spots or warping, leading to vibrations and compromised braking.

✔ Saves Time & Hassle – Instead of dealing with resurfacing or premature pad wear, replacing both ensures a trouble-free setup.

While some prefer to resurface rotors, I find that replacing them outright gives me the best performance and safety. It’s a small investment that pays off in the long run.
