Playcor

A home that lets you make dinner while keeping an eye on everyone, gives them room to move AND has a place for the random rock they’re emotionally attached to? 😅

The little things in our home really do make a difference I promise you! 🫶🏼

When we bought our first house I didn’t get the dreamy playroom I always pictured having…

So we made a play corner… but then toys found their way into our living space and over time I realized the goal was never about having a perfect space it was making the space we had perfect for our family.

Would I still LOVE a beautiful dedicated playroom? 100% 😂 But while my kids are little and mostly just want to be wherever we are, I’ve really come to love sharing our space with them.

So I’m curious…Playroom, Play Corner or Shared Space? What’s working best for your family right now? 👇

Let’s have an honest conversation about “good design” after you have kids…

I didn’t stop caring about good design when I became a mom. I just started expecting good design to care about us too. I wanted things to work harder…to make sense for real life- I wanted better design.

Because motherhood didn’t make me lower my standards for design. If anything…it raised them 🫶🏼

And somewhere in that realization… enter Playcor 🤍

Im an interior designer and a mom who thought “maybe the toy world and the home decor world should talk more”

I care about how my kids play with something but I also care about how it lives in our home when they’re not playing with it.

Playcor is really a combination of both…thoughtful, open- ended play for them and good design for the spaces we all share 🤍

What if the things our kids play with could be part of the home instead of something we constantly try to hide?
