Town Hall is now preparing Welcome Kits for new families that are moving into our community.

Our Welcome Kits feature and direct these new families to a small number of local businesses for the goods, services & professionals that they need to find.

Since our Welcome Kits are exclusive, and we can only accommodate one Hair Salon, I would ask you to kindly let me know if you are interested in being the featured Hair Salon in our local Welcome Kits.

It is worthy to note that, according to Dr. Cathy Goodwin in her book “Making the Big Move”, 55% of new residents and families seek out a new Hair Salon shortly after their relocation. As such, more than one-half of our Welcome Kit recipients are actively looking for a new Hair Salon.

I would like to schedule a time when you are expecting me so that I may drop off a sample of our "Welcome Kit" and explain the program in greater detail.

In March, the decision to close Amaz because of the COVID19 Pandemic was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. My priority was my clients, many who are vulnerable to this devastating virus.
>
> You all know I think about my clients and staffers as family. I feel obligated to consider all the risks involved before I can open up again. On Tuesday, Governor Abbott made an announcement that will allow salon/barber shops to open tomorrow, Friday.
> I have been reading all of the reports regarding the transmission of COVID-19. At this time, I don’t feel it is safe for you or me to open the salon. I will stay vigilant, watch the trends, and keep informed about the profession of COVID-19 in Austin.
>
> I have been doing a lot of research about what I need to do when I do open the salon. Again, my goal is your safety.
> When I do open the salon, here is what will happen:
> 1)The salon will be completely steam cleaned including, vents ,lights air ducts and filters .
> 2)All surfaces will be continually wiped with Clorox and Alcohol.
> 3)Every station will have hand sanitizers for you to use.
> 4)We will require everyone to wear a mask, if you forget yours, we will have disposable ones available for you. 5) We will also be wearing appropriate PPE which will be changed after each client.
> 6)There will be a 20 minute sanitation time after each appointment as we wipe down our stations and tools. 7)There will be no waiting in the salon for your appointment to start. Please wait in your car for us to either wave you in or text you when we are ready for you.
> 8)We can only have one client at a time in the salon.We ask you not to bring anyone with you, they will not be allowed in.
> 9) We will be calling you personally to get you on the schedule as soon as we are ready to open
> 10)We will be staggering our shifts and working 7 days a week to get all of you taken care of. We know the need is great.
> 11) We all have earned sanitation certificates from Barbicide and will be posting them on our stations. This was an online program we just finished. It taught us the safest ways to keep our salon clean.

> At the moment, this is our new normal. We know that someday this will be behind us. We miss you all very much!!.Our days are not as joyful without you! You are the reason we will do our best to keep you safe in our salon. If we have our health everything else can be overcome.. We are survivors.
