This weekend, we had the honor of connecting with the Austin Deaf community as we demoed our ASL recognition technology (SLR). Our goal is simple but powerful: to raise awareness about why it’s critical for this technology to be developed by Deaf people, for Deaf people, with Deaf leadership and funding.

Presenting at the Austin Deaf Club and the Texas School for the Deaf was a strong reminder that real, grassroots connections are what truly drive impact. Community matters the most.

As we’ve shared before, we have some big plans rolling out over the next few months. Stay tuned — we’re just getting started!

We’re stepping into 2025 with a bold new chapter: Timothy Blonsky and Aimee Chou are officially taking the helm as Co-CEOs of DeepSignAI!

Tim, transitioning from Director of Community Relations, and Aimee, formerly our Community Outreach & Events Producer, bring a dynamic balance of fearless entrepreneurialism, strategic collaboration, and deep community roots. Together, they share a vision: to revolutionize technology for Deaf people, by Deaf people, and with Deaf people.

Over the past year, our team—alongside our partners in Europe—has been refining our AI model, culminating in DeepSignAI’s first public demo in Seattle. The overwhelmingly positive response confirmed what we already knew: the future of Sign Language Recognition (SLR) is Deaf-led.

With an all-Deaf advisory board and a ride-or-die team, we’re standing on the shoulders of giants, pushing the boundaries of accessibility and innovation.

After an incredible Demo launch in Seattle last December, we’re beyond excited to bring the DeepSignAI Demo Roadshow to Riverside, CA on March 1st! From 9 AM to 4 PM at the Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center. We will be located in the ORANGECREST conference room, search for the DEEPSIGNAI Signs to direct you to the Demo room.
