Artwith Latex
Welcome to Artwith Latex, where art is squeezed straight from the bottle.
I’m Kurt Molhusen, the artist behind the work — each piece you see is hand-crafted from custom-mixed latex colors, built slowly and deliberately, one drip and curve at a time.

In 2002, I connected with from Coal Chamber and made her a pentagram choker, many moons ago. Fast forward 23 years later, we ran into each other at a convention, and she was interested in possibly making another one for their reunion festival shows over the last few months. So, of course, I made her 5 variants to choose from. Thank you, Nadja. I hope you enjoyed them the footage I’ve seen looks like it was a damn good time !! 💥💥The Roof is on Fire.

Well, since I’m only allowed to post 20 images at a time, this will be enough for now… Texas Frightmare 20th anniversary was a definite good time 💥 And to think I haven’t missed a year 😳🥳

The past couple of weeks have been exceptionally busy, with two conventions held consecutively, one of which was 21 hours away. Unfortunately, I strained my voice during the first weekend, resulting in vocal difficulties that persisted throughout the week. Nonetheless, the experience was worthwhile, as I had the opportunity to meet new individuals and reconnect with acquaintances. Texas Frightmare proved once again to be an outstanding event. Here’s a few shots I took during the convention. This will take 2 posts…

I first met Tim Gore in 2010; he was vending at Monsterpalooza with his mom by his side, who was a very nice lady. We all talked a bit, and then in 2012, both of us had lost our moms. He reached out to me, and we both had a mutual bond of loss. I never knew exactly how talented he was until later; his work always amazed me, being that special effects is something I’ve always highly admired since I was little. Luckily, I do have a couple of pieces of his; they are two pieces I fell in love with when I first saw them. May he now R.i.p, and may his work live on for generations to come.

I began working on my new display sign back in February, and I'm thrilled to say it's finally complete... or at least, as complete as it's going to get 😂. I'm loving the green vibe - it was time to switch things up from red. And, why not make it fluorescent? Change is good, right? 😉 You can catch the debut at Texas Frightmare on May 22-24, followed by Monsterpalooza in Pasadena, CA the next weekend. I'm aiming to showcase all my new pieces - it'll be a challenge, but I'm determined! Hope to see you there! Big thanks to for the laser cutting and push.
