This piece by San Antonio artist Benjamin Galvan Benjamin Galván , sourced through Period Modern 20th Century Modern Design , is a perfect example of how local art can bring depth and character to a space.

There’s something so beautiful about a kitchen that doesn’t need a lot of color to make an impact.

This space is clean and neutral, but the drama comes from the details—the tile carried all the way up to the peak of the ceiling, the natural light moving across the backsplash, the contrast of the darker wood, and those warm woven accents.

Neutral doesn’t have to mean quiet. Sometimes it’s about creating a simple foundation and letting the architecture, texture, light, and materials do the talking.

This custom casita was created as an extension of the pool bath—transforming a functional space into a warm, welcoming guest suite. Every detail was considered to create a seamless connection between the main home and this quiet escape, where comfort meets timeless design.

Design starts long before furniture and decor. It begins with the materials, textures, and finishes that shape how a space feels. Grateful for the opportunity to style Triton Stone’s interior finish wall and dream up all the possibilities with Chelsea of Grace Design Studio.

Almost 20 years ago, I started this journey not fully knowing where it would lead, just a love for creating spaces that feel like home.

Coming across this old feature still feels surreal. This project meant so much to me… an eco-friendly renovation rooted in intention, simplicity, and heart.
