Here is what we have done so far for our gratitude board. My two older kiddos have enjoyed the rewind. Even our 2 1/2 year old has contributed to the board.
Here's Ali decorating the border of our gratitude board. Not exactly what I had in mind for a border but "should be" but she's making it her own. And she's proud of it.

Implement "When You Say Thank You, Mean It" - Intentionally developing values in our families. The book, "When You Say Thank You, Mean It" -offers a monthly guide for promoting values within a household.

This page will remind followers to focus monthly on a particular value such as: Gratitude, self-respect, respect for others, integrity, compassion, forgiveness, sense of joy, commitment, lifelong learning, inner strength, spirituality and sense of purpose. Look for activities that you can practically include in your daily efforts at home.

November: Spirituality

When You Say “Thank You,” Mean It...And 11 Other Lessons for Instilling Lifelong Values in Your Children

November Topic – SPIRITUALITY
“Feeling a sacred connection to a higher power”
- questioning faith is how you know your children are thinking about it – treat this as
something positive
- spirituality is the acknowledgement that we are all connected to one another and
that there is something more powerful than each of us individually

One-Time Exercise: The Maze
Supplies: None
How it works: Have your child think of a goal they are trying to reach. Send them to the backyard or a room, starting at one point, and trying to get to the opposite side, which represents them reaching their goal. Have family members stand in their way as “obstacles”, and have your child move around them as they reach them. When your child gets frustrated with the obstacles, remind him that sometimes God puts obstacles in our way to help us down a different path. Sometimes reaching our goals is challenging. Remind your child that God can see the maze in its entirety, and He is guiding us along the way.
Variations: Use a paper maze.
