The famous Paychiatrist Carl Jung, former student of Freud, observed the mandala as a symbol of the archetypal self when depicted by his patience. The mandala, a circular art form in its simplest definition, would appear with a cross when his patients where orienting in the direction of wholeness and spiritual maturity, what Jung called the individuation process.
We chose this mandala as a symbol for our healing arts process not only because it represents wholeness but also because the circular drawing is a tool that we use in exploration of and communication about the depths of our consciousness, including the personal, archetypal, and collective unconscious. The explorations take place over a variety of meditations, Breathwork practices, exercises, and other forms of consciousness exploration.

Tom Kirkham talks about posture in relationships.
Do you ever feel like you’re above or below someone in a romantic or business relationship?
This is sometimes referred to as posture. We tend to seek posture over others and when we engage in this struggle we may at times find that we lose our posture, especially in emotionally charged situations.
When you feel this struggle consider an alternative - maintain posture as your most authentic self without having to seek posture over or sink beneath others.
When you’re in an emotionally charged situation, sit or stand upright, send your breath and energy to your heart, and remember that your mind is your servant, your tool - not your master.
Yoga, meditation, and journaling are also ways to support holistic health while maintaining your posture and inner freedom.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or would like to discuss more. If someone shared this video or this page with you, please let them know that you liked it.
Want to know a Breathwork technique you can learn instantly to regulate your energy up or down as needed?
Here it is: Breathe out longer than you breathe in. That’s it.
This lets your body know that you’re getting enough oxygen.
It can immediately energize you AND relieve stress. This is a technique long known by swimmers in order to swim with more endurance and not feeling constantly out of breath.
Swimmers force as much air OUT as they can when their head hits the water before swimming a few strokes and taking a breathe in, so that they don’t feel out of breath when their swimming.
Using a slightly different technique you can meditate anywhere you are.
Bring your awareness to your breath anywhere in your body. Breathe normally in your nose and out your mouth if you can.
Now try it, breath out longer than you breathe in.
For example, count with the breath like this; Breath in 2, 3, 4, Breath out 2,3,4,5,6,7,8
- or make it a bit shorter Breath in 1,2, Breathe out 1,2,3,4.
This gets rid of excess carbon dioxide in your lungs and lets your body know you’re getting enough air and you can relax.
This relaxation takes strain off your stress response and helps you have more energy. I find this much more effective for regulating my energy and emotions than a “square” sort of breathe ie 4 counts in and 4 counts out. Try it! ✌️
Online Course: Breathwork and Mandala Drawing
I’m launching an online course called breathwork and mandala drawing. This course teaches a series of breathwork and therapeutic meditative practices that are supportive in personal growth, relaxation, and creativity. Not an artist ? Don’t worry, just bring pencils, paper, comfortable clothes, and the intention to know yourself better.
This course is available at an introductory pre-launch rate of $35 until through May 10th and on May 11th will cost the full price of $60.
🙏 Would you like to learn:
A simple breathwork practice that you can use anywhere to reduce stress, increase relaxation, focus, and presence?
A simple way to use mandala drawing for self exploration and healing?
While results may vary, frequently reported results of these techniques will include a greater sense of focus, purpose, and attentive awareness, and increased ability for deeply letting go and developing trust in your own innate ability to heal, and an increased sense of calm in navigating challenging situations.
This course will consist of two one-hour video classes that you may attend as well as access recording of and an online group where you may share your experiences and get support from me and your peers as needed.
All you need is a piece of paper, pencils (colored if possible), a circular object to trace around, comfortable clothing, and a place where you can sit and/or lie down comfortably and will not be disturbed.
Live classes offered Wednesdays starting May 13th and can be scheduled to your time zone. Recorded classes and online group will be ongoing and can be joined anytime.
The pre-launch rate is $35 and the payment link will change to $60 at the end of May 10th/Morning of May 11 depending on your timezone.
