We hear from clinicians every week about their traumatic experiences on the pandemic's front lines.
We've asked them to power through their grief and sacrifice their own physical and mental wellbeing.
All to keep us safe and healthy.
But what's the long-term cost? Will our failure to support clinicians harm the health of our country?
Our team set out to answer these questions. We surveyed over 2,000 people about their healthcare experiences over the last year.
Here's what we found:
Clinician Burnout in 2021 - Wheel Survey Results We surveyed 2,000 people about their healthcare experiences over the last year to better understand: How clinician burnout is impacting the patient experience Whether patients and their behavior is contributing to clinician burnout If people still value working in healthcare You can read what we…

The pandemic exacerbated our country’s mental health crisis.
Clinicians are looking for new ways to address physical and mental needs of their patients with digital health.
This could be digital health’s moment to build comprehensive care models that address the physical as well as mental needs of patients.
Our CEO Michelle Davey recently joined a panel discussion on taking a patient-centered approach by leveraging virtual care to build integrated care models.

Women’s history month for us is more than just talking about the women who broke boundaries and stereotypes in healthcare. It’s about the everyday heroes and changemakers whose impact is much larger than is often recognized.
We must acknowledge that this has been a uniquely challenging time for women in healthcare, shouldering an even larger burden in both their professional and professional lives.

Why do NPs need a collaborative practice agreement? Which states require physician oversight? How do NPs find a physician collaborator?
With more NPs interested in virtual care opportunities, it’s important to know that many states require NPs to practice through mandatory physician oversight and collaboration.
These collaborative practice agreements are a necessary step for nurse practitioners interested in working in virtual care across state lines.
Our team answers all of these questions you may have around how NPs can successfully work in virtual care - link below!

Women have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic over the last year with an unprecedented level of personal sacrifice -- just as women have been making significant progress towards addressing gender bias and equal representation male-dominated fields, which includes healthcare.
This year’s International Women's day theme is .
To create an inclusive world, we can choose to challenge gender bias and inequity in healthcare by increasing awareness, give emotional support to women, speak up when inequity is happening, and hire more women for leadership roles.

Every month we ask the Wheel team to nominate their fellow coworkers who are “living and breathing” Wheel’s core values.
We call this award the “Golden Wheelie” and pass a trophy around to the winner each month!
January’s Golden Wheelie winner is John Vinyard, our Senior Software Engineer.
This is what our team had to say about working with John:
“John is the ultimate selfless colleague - he handles urgency and ambiguity with grace and clarity, and always puts others' needs before his own.
“He is incredibly quick and rigorous with his engineering work and can grasp very complex problems quickly. We are lucky to have him as part of the Wheel team.”
We are so grateful to have teammates like John who are helping Wheel grow with ambition.
If John sounds like someone you’d love to work with, the good news is we have plenty of open roles on our engineering team! https://www.wheel.com/careers
