Customer service is a JOKE. I have been to salons in LA, San Diego, NYC, Miami, etc and this salon is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life. The pricing is INSANE and it's your typical "hoity toity" snobbish salon. My best friend passed away this week and all I wanted was to look pretty for her funeral. I fly out tomorrow and I had an appointment today with Abel to put in my extensions. I have microbeads and he is the only stylist who can do them. My first appointment I was booked about a month ago and it was to consult with Abel about them. They ended up telling me that he would not be able to fit me in that day so I could go to Krystal (Chrystal?) instead. I was sort annoyed because the whole reason I wanted to book with Abel was so he could look at my extensions, BUT I let it go and the manager even comped a hair treatment for me the second time I came in. So all was well I guess. Then, i came in for a second time about 2 weeks ago to meet with Abel and let him look at the extensions. He agreed he could do them and he took my old ones out. Everything seemed to be going ok except that their pricing was OUTRAGEOUS for what I got. But still, I let it go as I am new to ATX and didn't know anyone else who could do microbeads.
So this brings me to July 2nd. I stopped in with my mother in law and Abel was not there and I was told I could consult with Krystal (Chrystal?) about potentially toning the extensions out because they were slightly darker than my real hair. I told her I was aware that salons are sometimes uncomfortable with dying or toning extensions they haven't worked with and I was more than willing to sign a waver stating I was ok with it if anything happened. So I did. I then was just asking simple questions on her opinion of toning them and told her that I had it done several times before with my Russian hair that it's all natural and better quality hair than anything they have ever worked with and I could assure her it was safe to tone. She proceeded to get very snippy and even argue with me. I told her that this hair did not have a "film" on it like she kept mentioning. That hotheads hair is CRAP and she needed to just trust me that it was ok to tone. So I left and had the waver signed and thought ok well she was rude BUT it's done, it's over, I'll be in on next Wednesday to get them in and this nightmare will finally be over and I will look good for the trip home to bury my best friend.
This brings me to today. I walk in all excited ready to go. Abel walks out and simply says "I'm sorry but the owner is too afraid to do your extensions. I can't do them. My hands are tied." My jaw dropped. After alllll of the efforts and times I drove in, conversations I had, signed waver, EVERYTHING... THE DAY BEFORE I LEAVE YOU TELL ME NO? I replied, "well if it's just the toner you don't feel comfortable with, that's ok I guess, but can you still just put them in (confused as to why he couldn't do this since he had already established months ago even before I moved here that he COULD install microbeads)?" He said, "no, sorry, my hands are tied. Person (forgot girls name at front desk) said she called you and left a message for you on your phone letting you know we couldn't do it."
NEVER DID I EVER receive a phone call. Why would I be in such shock if I had? UNBELIEVABLE. Shame on you José. Your salon is an ultimate let down and I am going to see that every website, Yelp, anywhere that promotes your salon gets my review. Enough is enough. Terrible customer service! Luckily, I believe everything happens for a reason and I some how managed to find a much more reasonable salon that can get me in last minute tonight before I have to attend a funeral I am dreading.
Shame. Shame. Shame on you. It's really too bad because you have a beautiful store there in the Domain and it's very close to where I live. Also, I was going to talk further to Abel about getting in contact with my lady out of LA for this top of the line natural beautiful hair from Russia. He mentioned he was interested. Nope! I'll be sure to let every one I know how terrible of an experience this was. Even my sweet mother in law was floored by Krystal standing there arguing with me like that. So unprofessional!
