The mission of the NOCC is to save lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer and to improve the quality of life for Survivors.
Through national programs and local NOCC chapter initiatives, the NOCC's goal is to educate communities and increase awareness about the symptoms of ovarian cancer. The NOCC also provides information to assist newly-diagnosed patients, hope to Survivors, and support to caregivers. The NOCC is also committed to the advancement of ovarian cancer research.

The Austin Texas Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is comprised of ovarian cancer survivors, their families and friends, caregivers, and health care professionals. We invite anyone with an interest in raising awareness about ovarian cancer to join our efforts. Deborah Dey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Maryland Oncology Hematology in Annapolis MD. Nicole Tasker is an Advanced Practice Nurse in the Gynecologic Oncology Dept. Of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chicago. Ms. Tasker has been distributing our Faces of Hope Totes through the hospital and has been a fantastic partner for this program for several years.
In addition, she also encourages her patients to attend our Teal Hearts support calls and encourages them to take advantage of our quality of life programs to ease the burdens in their lives. Because of her dedication to our mission, Nicole deserves recognition as a huge advocate in the ovarian community!

Dr. Christina Annunziata is the Senior Oncology Researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), leading a team of women scientists who are focused on molecular signal transduction in ovarian cancer. Dr. Annunziata believes in our mission, and each year, she supports NOCC through her fundraising for our annual Together in Teal in Virginia. This past year, Dr. Annunziata shared her expertise on clinical trials for our "Ask the Experts" program. She is a champion of diversity, as it is well known to benefit biomedical research.
Dr. Annunziata believes research done by women scientists provides new perspectives on problems affecting women with . We are grateful for her continued research to support a better quality of life with patients living with ovarian cancer.
