Big change for Hannah, especially since it was her first time coloring her hair! So we went with a bold, golden balayage and chopped off a few inches and transformed her cut into a rockin’ s**g. Hand styled with Tonik and Jelly.

Hannah was actually in my chair when the news came out about the Supreme Court’s decision. It had both of us, understandably, feeling heavy. So I just want to remind y’all that if the weight of the world is feeling like too much, I’m more than happy to let you sit in silent reflection during our time together. Or if you want to vent, I’m more than happy to listen. Or if you need a distraction, we can talk about all the nerdy things. The world is tough enough, my hope is to give you a sense of calm during our time together.

Bright balayage for Kali’s jaw dropping curls 😍

This was one of those moments where the hair gods heard me and they ANSWERED! Kali came in with some seriously long roots and bright ends. She wanted to match her ends and knew that it would be a process. She also had some year old grey coverage, so we both kept our expectations extremely low. I told her we would be lucky to see any lightness with the first session.

When I lighten curly hair, I prefer open air so that it moves a little slower and maintains the integrity of the hair. I also like to go on a curl-by-curl basis to really accentuate each person’s unique texture.

Anyway, I was not prepared for how well Kali’s hair would lift!! This is just our first session and she lifted beautifully ❤️ AND her curls are healthy as ever! There’s still a little bit of excess warmth around the crown, but I truly was not expected her to get this light in one session! And y’all, her hair is so freaking soft and bouncy! I’m absolutely in love 😍😍

I'm never gonna get tired of wearing this dress. Although I'm glad all the wedding festivities are done because the bottom of my dress is now so dirty after this shoot 😂
