Meet Javier Lopez, a 2025 Green Leaders Fellow with EarthShare Texas, whose work with Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance (GEAA) helped advance critical research on Texas water policy, infrastructure, and the future of the state’s water supply.

Through the Green Leaders Fellowship, Javier analyzed the widening gap between Texas’ water demand and available supply, digging into infrastructure needs, legislative priorities, and long‑term sustainability challenges. His work helped strengthen GEAA’s policy efforts and deepen public understanding of how water shapes the future of Texas communities.
