This is a Lakeway/Lake Travis, Austin,TX Rotary Club Global initiative for developing and introducing 3D printed prosthetic limb technology into Tanzania.
Throughout the developing world there are not enough qualified prosthetists to serve the amputee population adequately;new approaches to prosthesis development that is cost effective, along with greater numbers of trained technicians is needed in order to meet the need for prosthetic services. Stay Tuned! Rotary 3DLimbs is planning some exciting news in Uganda, Kenya and back to Tanzania. Zoom preplanning meeting with Rotarians Dr. Donna Gun and Barker F Keith II with Dr.Bruno who runs an orthopedic clinic in Uganda this morning to quantify the need for Rotary 3D Limbs and the mobile prosthetics production laboratory.

Rotary members Donna Gun and Barker Franklin Keith II were at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center in Moshi, Tanzania the day the chief handed Donna a baby with a deformed leg, wrapped in rags. Thanks to Rotary3D Limbs look at her now! She runs and plays like any child and you would not know she has an artificial limb!
