Happy Halloween from all of us at DASNW and our newest volunteer T-Rex Helpful! From taking the mail to the out box in the office, to helping answer phones, the only thing he can't do is be a volunteer driver (no license, can't turn his head much, arms too short, tail in the way, etc.) but YOU can! Sunday we had a chance to thank Hope Presbyterian Church, it's members, and staff for allowing us to have our office on this beautiful and welcoming campus! Grateful for the food, fellowship, and friends we got to visit with as well as show off our new office space! Thankful for Pastor Josh Robinson PCUSA and his leadership of this awesome community!

Awesome crew getting our Drive a Senior Northwest- A Faith in Action program new office set up and ready to go tomorrow 🌄

To add to the awesome things happening at DASNW - we want to share officially that we are MOVING to a new, awesome, fabulous, amazing (can you tell we are excited?!) office location! Not too far, just down the road from our current spot to the campus of Hope Presbyterian Church We hope to have the "big things" moved and phones and internet up and working by this weekend, but we will have an open house to show off our new location. We are grateful to Anderson Mill Baptist Church for donating our office space for the past 37 years, and very excited to start this new chapter at Hope. Stay tuned for updates! (if you notice our cover photo, that is the beautiful view at about 7:30 am - love the campus and the space they are allowing us to inhabit!)

Lots of things happening here at DASNW - our Songs, Stories, and Sweets for the Road Fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, September 9th! You do NOT want to miss this! Drive a Senior Northwest has been providing free transportation with awesome volunteer drivers for 37 years....

Senior Day Out yesterday was awesome ..30 clients joined us, and a few neighbors who bring themselves...as well as 2 brand new seniors to our program. lunch was provided by the Fabuous Judy Ratliff and her sidekick Carla Young and we did such a great job we forgot to take pictures of the delicious lasagna and salad until it was all gone!

Our card class this week was amazing! So glad to have so many people come and support our senior neighbors by making fabulous cards to mail to their friends and famil!family! Thanks as always to Christine Ramirez Bittman for the expert instruction!

Today we celebrated with about 50 of our AWESOME volunteers - drivers, senior day out helpers, office volunteers, board members - and all the good they do in the community! Thanks to everyone for just showing up, meeting new friends, etc. and thanks to Thrivent Action Teams and HEB for making it all happen!
