The most important outcome for the patient is the reduction of the side effects associated with opioids, including nausea, vomiting, severe itching, and dizziness.

Got the sniffles? How do you know if you have a cold or allergies?
Austin and Central Texas are well known for an abundance of allergy producing pollens and mold spores. With cedar season arriving, how do you know if your sniffles, sneezing and itchy eyes are symptoms of a cold or an allergy to cedar pollen or molds?
Cedar season is here and will drag on through February, causing “cedar fever” symptoms like a drippy nose, itchy eyes, scratchy throat and possibly a low-grade fever in allergy sufferers. Allergies cause drainage down the throat, not out the front, so there is a lot of throat clearing. Even with decongestants and anti-histamines, these symptoms will linger until the cedar pollen count drops down to zero.
The common cold is caused by viruses that generally last seven to ten days. In addition to nasal congestion, a cough, and painful throat, your fever may be higher than a low-grade allergy fever. And—I know this is a bit graphic—the mucus from a cold virus explodes forward—think boxes of Kleenex.
Whether it’s allergies or a cold virus, acupuncture boosts your immune system and makes you stronger and better able to naturally resist allergies and illness. In addition, staying hydrated, eating less sugar and getting plenty of rest will help you feel more balanced and ready for all the holiday festivities.
Plus, I’ve got Cedar Serum in stock for you to beat back Cedar Fever. Start taking it today!
