This may sound silly, but when my wife and I adopted Mina last year, at least for me, I wanted the boys to have something in common with our dog, Mina, as they grow up together ❤️ 🤟🐕🧒👦

2 years ago today, my life completely changed. Actually, it was 2-1/2 years ago, but officially 2 years ago on the adoption.

I have a tattoo of the date and It had slipped my mind yesterday. I was like oh crap what is today and had to look at my tattoo to confirm.

Working on this beautiful fur baby!

I mostly work dark to light, so the final painting will look totally different.

Serious battle going on between Jayde and Mina.

The funny part, Mina kept it away from Jayde for a while before they got tired and Jayde was able to finally grab it.

Australian Shepherd Acrylic Painting. This beautiful pup recently crossed the rainbow bridge.

As an artist, it means the world to me to create these paintings but at the same time, it makes me sad because as I'm painting these beautiful pet portraits, I understand the pain the family is going through. I've painted quite a few of these tribute paintings and feel like I connect with these fur babies!
