A little more than 5 years ago, this photo was taken of me putting the sign on our storefront door announcing our opening for the very first time. Today, I closed my store to walk-ins (but we are still "open." More on that below...). Reflecting on FIVE YEARS of ! It’s been a crazy ride that has stretched me and shaped me into a stronger and more resilient person. I’ve made sacrifices like time with my kids but I’ve also gained a new work family that I love with all of my heart (see last pic for some of those lovelies!). I am grateful for the support of customers who appreciate what we do and for whom we’ve been able to make weddings, anniversaries and holidays more meaningful. Happy WORKAversary to Jess! Jess has been an integral part of the team for 4 YEARS! Jess came in to interview with me in the hot, hot summer of 2015 and brought me Buckeyes, a nod to her chocolate skills and her home state of Ohio. I was impressed that she cared enough to make something ahead of her interview, AND that she was thoughtful enough to keep them cold in transit! Plus, they were good, so it was a standout for sure.

Our first encounter was a great preview to the following four years. You are sweet, thoughtful, conscientious, hardworking, fun, and so much more! I can't imagine the last four years without you here at and I am truly grateful for each and every day that you have been a part of my life.

Banana Caramel is back in stock! For those who are skeptics, this is no “fake banana” 🍌 First, we make a caramel, then deglaze with real bananas and finally blend with white, milk and dark chocolate in a beautiful marblized shell. This is another medal winner and fan favorite! Tell us in the comments if you’ve tried it!

Meet this year’s Silver Medalist at the : our Milk Chocolate Salted Butter Caramel! This is our third year winning a medal for this piece and I have to say, it’s rewarding given all the time it took to perfect this recipe. When I first started recipe testing in my tiny apartment, I can’t even count how many burnt and overflowing batches of caramels it took me to hone in on this most perfect caramel. I spent a year tweaking the temperatures, ingredients, ratios and method before I found something I loved consistently. This is a “Brittany”-style caramel which means it’s a cream based caramel vs. a sugary caramel. And of course, we use Brittany Grey Sea Salt from this region in France. PINK PEPPERCORN is the first in our award-winner spotlight. We created this piece for Valentine’s Day 💕 and started with the idea of including something a little spicy in the collection for the fiery romantics out there. Using a pink ingredient was a plus and of course we had to make it in the shape of a heart 💗 This piece was an immediate customer favorite and sold out way more than we anticipated! We even had several folks write to us to ask about the flavor which was really exciting. This piece took Bronze at the alongside winners from Mexico, Peru, Brazil and the USA!

As my son would say, “Again, again, again, again!” We won again! The team and I are so proud of the 4 awards that we took home from this year’s International .

This past year we made it a priority to put out our best ever lineup of seasonal flavors. Since we thought they were so good, we wanted to enter them into the competition along with our signature Salted Butter Caramels to get the judges’ feedback.

The judges of are some of the world’s most respected chocolate experts: people who have made chocolate a career as reviewers, professors, authors and industry professionals. It is so gratifying that these folks thought our chocolates worthy of 3 Silver medals and a Bronze. We are even more proud of our awards given the caliber of the competitors who are some of the industry’s best from all over the Americas.
