Everywhere you turn within the social impact sector, communicators and allied professionals are talking about the power of storytelling. And for good reason. Effective stories create action–they can build movements, mobilize supporters, spur donations and much more. History has shown that stories are inextricably linked to what it means to be human. But we’re entering a phase of storytelling overload from a strategic organizational point-of-view. The definition and purpose of a “story” has rapidly evolved, and it’s harder than ever to escape the noise and develop organizational cultures of storytelling that break down silos and work across functions, departments, and people to raise money and other desired actions. Professor John D. Trybus from Georgetown University’s Center for Social Impact Communication will share findings from new applied research into what the future of social impact storytelling will look like and why it matters to your work. The results and ideas for action will surprise and inspire you.
As a special exception to CommA’s policy of not disclosing contact information, we will share your name and contact info with the webinar presenter, Professor John D. Trybus, so that he may contact you with follow up information regarding his research.

We’re conditioned to love a good story. It started with bedtime stories and lives on with our favorite authors and movies. But, with all of our attention on garnering time, talent, and treasure, we’ve forgotten one of the most important T’s of all…testimony! Are you using your stories to relate to others and give them a reason to believe they, too, can be generous? If you’re not, you should be!
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
