[09/29/21] If you haven’t booked your appointment for the holidays, do it now!! I only have one Saturday left before Christmas with a few openings. My schedule is booking very fast and I highly suggest pre booking your next appointment before you leave. I am back in school and still putting in 40+ hours a week at the salon and there’s only so much “squeezing in” I can do. If your color takes 2+ hours, it’s not easy to just squeeze it in real quick. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!!

[11/24/20] I have been very forgiving for no call/no show appointments and unfortunately it’s now started to affect my business. I am already running at about 50% capacity due to Covid and can’t afford to take hits like this. I understand it’s holiday time and everyone is busy, but this is my livelihood and I have a lot of people waiting for appointments. If you miss your appointment time without any notice, you will either pay for 100% of your service or will not be allowed to book future appointments. Please respect your small business owners and their time. We are trying to do whatever we can to keep going for you during this pandemic.
[10/26/20] Just a heads up.... I am going to school now and have had to cut my hours at work a bit. I will not be turning my online booking on until after the holidays at least so please don’t hesitate to call, text or email. PLEASE keep in mind, when everyone has to come after 3:30 during the week or on the weekends, my evenings/Saturdays book up very fast. If you are one of these people who need to come after 3:30 or on weekends, you should think about booking a few weeks in advance. I am a lot more flexible if you can come before 3:30. I feel the need to update all of you on what’s been going on as far as my salon goes...
I closed the salon after Father’s Day because I had been informed that I was possibly exposed to someone who tested positive for Covid. As I was trying to get back to work a couple weeks later, I was informed of many cases within the industry and other stylists that left me feeling extremely hesitant to start seeing clients again. I voluntarily closed my business for over a month which I understand has left many of you frustrated. I hope you know it was not easy on me in any way to make that decision. I am going to start seeing clients in the next couple weeks and I am kindly going to ask you one thing. If you are or have been traveling, going to summer camps, or gathering in large groups PLEASE wait to reach out to me for an appointment. I am going to be an aunt in a few short weeks and desperately want to feel safe meeting my nephew for the first time. I want to be there for you, but this is something that is very important to me. I have invested a lot of time and money in safety protocols to look out for you.... please please please look out for me and give me the same respect. Thank you for your support and understanding ❤️

Keep your phones on and get ready!! I will be calling you this week!! I miss you and I am ready to see you! This is going to take patience because I’m able to see about half the people that I was able to before in a day. I’ll be working extra though and I am so excited!!! If you did not have an appointment during the closure and need one, shoot me a text. There will be a waiting list and you may not hear back from me right away, but I would love to add you to the list. I will not be activating my online booking quite yet. Here are a few things to expect for your next appointment.
-Masks will be required for EVERYONE
-There will be no blow drying (no keratin treatments for now 😭)
-I will have you wait in your car until I am ready for you. Text me or buzz me on the outside buzzer (209 green bell) to let me know you are here.
-I will have you wash your hands when you get in my suite.
-Try to avoid bringing excess belongings inside, and extra people. Please no families in here all at once.
-IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS (fever, cough etc...) PLEASE STAY HOME.
Bare with me! You will probably smell like bleach and Lysol when you leave. If you don’t feel comfortable coming out yet, just let me know. As soon as you do feel safe to come, I will get you in. I am here for you. Please know I am smiling under my mask when I see you and I’m giving out lots of air hugs!
I am writing to update you on my plan for reopening! First off, if you have messaged me and I have not responded please be patient. I have received over 40 texts and emails since the governor made his address today. Im hoping this email will be informative and answer any questions you may have. The last I heard we were required to remain closed until May 18th, so this came as a shock to me and has forced me into panic mode to try and prepare for a safe reopening. BARE WITH ME!
Today the governor said that salons are able to open as soon as Friday, WITH RESTRICTIONS. We still have not been informed of what these restrictions are. I have done some research on what these restrictions are in other states and they mostly include the use of particular masks, disposable garments and cleaning requirements. While I would love to return to work Friday, procuring these items has been difficult. I have placed numerous orders over the last couple weeks, but many are backordered as late as June 11th. Because of the unknown requirements at this time and the lack of equipment, I will not be opening on Friday and I don't have an exact date for you at this time. I will be updating you frequently on my plan and also what your future appointments might look like (temperature checks, masks, waiting areas, etc). AS SOON as I get more information, I will let you know! I have a list of everyone who has had an appointments with me during this time and will be in contact with you personally to rescheule in the order that you were scheduled in the first place. If you did not have an appointment with me and need one, do not worry. I will be working extra days and extra hours to get everyone in. I will re activate my online booking as soon as I get everyone rescheduled and will let you know as soon as that happens.
I am doing the best I can with all of this. It is going to take time and patience. Please be patient with me and the new guidelines that I will be required to implement.

I know everyone has seen a petition circulating about getting stylists back to work. I have received A TON of messages regarding my feelings on this. I know all of you are ready to get in and get your hair done, and believe me, I’ve never been more ready to be there for all of you. That being said, I will continue to make the decisions that I feel are best for my clients, my family and myself. I may not have the popular opinion and I understand that there are people that might not agree with my timeline, but I ask you to understand and continue to support me knowing that I am doing my best. Every day brings new information and new decisions and I am taking it one day at a time. I have very mixed feelings about the petition. Anyone can sign it, not just stylists and that means some of those signatures are people who really want their roots covered rather than keeping our best interest (and theirs) in mind. I DO understand stylists wanting the choice to work, absolutely, I know a lot of us are all just trying to keep food on the table and rent paid. It’s a very confusing time for sure. I listened to the Governor today and we do not fall in the category of businesses allowed to open up this week and it sounds like we will hear more about the gradual opening of businesses on the 27th. As of right now, I don’t feel comfortable opening the first week of May. We haven’t even reached our “peak” yet and the statistics do not support a decline in cases. The 2 main issues for me are not being able to comply with the 6 foot distancing and the fact that I can’t even find enough cleaning supplies on store shelves to keep the salon up to TDLR standards let alone Covid standards. This is such a hard decision and hopefully the next couple weeks will be more telling. Safety has to come first and with all my elderly clients and my asthma, it’s a really big decision. I work with 25 other busy girls and cannot control the areas outside of my suite. Like I said, I know you are ready and so am I, but please be patient and we will get through this.
Also, House calls are illegal and girls are getting fined and losing licenses. I understand you are coming from a supportive place and am so thankful to have people that want to make things work for me, however I just can’t risk everything for a house call.

I am writing to update everyone on the situation with the salon and Covid-19. As my previous email stated I was planning on returning to work this week, however due to the "shelter in place" order, we have been forced to close the salon through April 14th and possibly longer. I have sent out a message through Vagaro to all my clients, but noticed some aren't receiving those emails. Hopefully I will reach more people on here. If you have an appointment with me over the next few weeks I will be getting in touch with you personally. I am trying my hardest to navigate through this the best I can, and appreciate your patience and understanding. This is a hard time and I miss work and all of you. [03/17/20] Today I made the hardest decision I’ve ever been faced with as a small business owner. After some serious prayer and contemplation, I decided to close the salon for the next 2 weeks. I made this decision, first and foremost to protect the health and well-being of my clients, as well as their families and to ensure I am doing all I can to protect my family members whom are at higher risk. In addition, this decision was also influenced by increased closings and the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to maintain "social distancing.” My heart feels very strongly that this was the best and only option considering the circumstances. If you have an existing appointment with me over the next 2 weeks, I will be getting in touch over the next few days to reschedule. I plan on being back in business March 30th if deemed appropriate.
