Something struck me after our celebration last night and as soon as I saw this picture. As most of you know, this is my second round living in ATX. I lived here for 12 years before, during crucial and defining moments of my life as a woman, mother, entrepreneur, professional hairstylist, and friend. I have to say I can’t imagine that there is any other city full of incredible stylists and musicians that come out and support each other the way that Austin, Texas does. The amount of respect and love shown to each other is just awesome!
I want everyone to know that even though Texas has some archaic laws and systems in place that are oppressive, the women here work hard every single day to show that we know we are better than that. Having the opportunity to work with this team, a woman owned and operated salon, was the reason I came back. It has been a good reminder that there is space for ALL of us to succeed. Thank you to Drea and for welcoming me with open arms and to Kelsey and for being such rockstar coworkers!

Mind still blown from last night! Finally got to see I didn’t know what to expect other than, but I knew they were going to be good. I’m still processing the sound. Highly recommend!

The goal here was to give her a pallet to be able to try different vibrant colors on. There was leftover pigment on some of her ends, which contributed to this final tone. I used Davines lightening system for this global blonding service.

Happening today and this is where I’ll be! So grateful warm weather!

I took full tilt atomic blonde today! She has had a traditional foil application for years, so this was a big shift.
I used a modern foil technique to weave and slice through any previously non lightened hair. Next, I bumped the base with a high lift, and finally I toned the base and ends with two different formulas.
She was pretty excited and happy, which is exactly why I am still working behind the chair 23 years and counting! Thanks for hanging out today!

Did you know that I also do freehand clipper cuts? I was lucky enough to be trained by when I was at the Aveda Institute-MPLS back in the day, with continued mentors over the years. I’m not a barber, nor do I do design work, but I can give you a pretty sweet custom fade or just keep your style fresh and so clean!

Knocked this color correction out for a new client that was in ATX on a layover 🛬

The more you know: A tint back from blonde to brown is a color correction.
This process consists of two applications of color to be able to fill it back to the same level as her natural. This will lock in the color, which will make it last longer and have more depth. I finished with a gloss for a nice “top coat” affect and gave her a healthy trim and style out.
We were both so happy with the result!

Hi, it’s a good time for an introduction for new followers!

My name is Sharon, and I moved back to Austin, Texas after living up North for 8 years. I have been a licensed hairstylist since 1999 and still love this industry so much!
I just started taking clients and am surrounded by an inspiring group of talented artists. Please follow our IG and see all the incredible work that is happening in our space!
My skill set is pretty broad. I’m known for detailed haircutting and hairstyling, and customized color techniques that suit each client. I have a wide variety of experience and advanced education behind the chair and salon operations. I also style for photo shoots, bridal, and special occasions. I’m skilled with short hair, curls, s**gs, bobs, bangs, kid’s hair, and then some. You’re welcome in my chair anytime!

I am also a mom of 2 awesome boys, and one really cute pup named Carmen. Other things to note, I’m a certified yoga teacher, although I’m not practicing in that realm at this point.
Favorite things are live music, local food, COFFEE, my family, my friends, and my AMAZING clients who come to see me no matter how long it’s been or where I’m living!

With all the craziness we’ve been through, I am grateful for another new year and some sunshine.
